Trump's Mass Deportation Plans

On the flip side of the coin....there is the new US refugee policy for people from South Africa.

And no surprise...it was intended only for whites from South Africa.

But oops...now they have had to amend this.

The State Department, responding to a request for comment on July 18, did not specifically comment on the email or the cable but described the scope of the policy as wider than the guidance in Chretien's email.
The department said U.S. policy is to consider both Afrikaners and other racial minorities for resettlement, echoing guidance posted on its website in May saying that applicants "must be of Afrikaner ethnicity or be a member of a racial minority in South Africa."

Also on the flip side.

In exchange for 250 prisoners held in El Salvador and sent back to Venezuala, TrumCo. got ten US prisoners including a convicted murderer who is now apparently at liberty.

This is a good sign.

A double whammy. Obviously headed toward the Supreme Court where Roberts and Co. will find a way to overturn the 9th.

As importantly though, the courts have to protect people who are coming to attend hearings at a courthouse. For lazy ICE agents, this tactic has been too easy.

The Trump administration suffered two legal defeats on Friday when the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sustained a court imposed ban on immigration enforcement being conducted on the basis of language or occupation. And a district judge banned the Department of Homeland Security from using a controversial tactic against those with immigration parole.

They didn't say if he voted for Trump. But there are dozens of these stories out there now.

American farms can't survive without near slave labour.

Apparently people are being moved from Alligator Alcatraz in Florida after the courts brought construction there to a halt.

The question is...are the inmates being moved to other camps?

Or will they become the 'disappeared' under Trump like those under Pinochet or under Duterte or Putin.

Or fed to the alligators?

This is a telling blow.

And may be one of the reasons why hundreds of detainees have been moved out of Alligator Alcatraz over the last 48 hours before it is shut down. The court has defined the rules for confinement.

The first major court victory involving conditions of confinement at ICE field offices. The judge bars detention in any cell which isn't:- Restricted by capacity- Has mats for people to sleep on overnight- Is cleaned 3 times a day- Provides hygiene supplies- Offers free legal calls

Well we knew they would bail at the first sign of trouble.

And it is true...this was a DeSantis project that I suspect he hoped would get fed funding.

Instead...just another billion dollare plus boodoggle paid for by Floridians.

The Data is out there. From Bluesky:

"New ICE data show that the court order banning profiling reduced ICE arrests in LA by 66%!

In other words, ICE is effectively admitting that TWO THIRDS of LA arrests were unconstitutional profiling.

Did they admit this to the court? NO! They lied to the courts..."

Well, the good news is that Alligator Auschwitz is apparently closed. Recall that this was the idea of Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier and DeSantis, who pitched the idea to the Trump administration. In the meantime DeSantis & Co. have managed to give Florida yet another black eye just when the state has already been reeling from the bad publicity as a result of these fascists. The notoriety from going out of your way to create a concentration camp where atrocities were committed is going to be one thing Florida will be remembered for, permanently.

^ The good thing is that it has been closed. And honestly, it won't be long before Florida is in the news for something as bad or worse.

The bad thing is that so many people who were there have more or less disappeared into the system as they are scattered.

And that this concentrtion camp showed not only that there is an appetite for this, but the will to do it.
