Hi!

I just bought this new scanner/copier/printer thing and I've set it up (without connecting it to the computer just yet) and when I insert the CD that comes with all of this it just won't run.](*,) I've gone to My Computer and clicked on the CD drive and then it starts to run for a bit and it ejects the CD. I put it back in and click on it again and it just ejects it.

Can anyone help? Pleasel #-o

Also, I'm using a laptop, in case it matters.

There is a possibilty that the CD that was supplied with the scanner was faulty...suggest you go to the website for the scanner and then download the setup files direct from their website and install using that file.

What brand is the scanner?

It's Epson.

I hate to think it's my laptop that's faulty. I had a similar problem with this Japanese learning language program. It installed 3 CD's but not the fourth one. Argh, this sucks but I might have to go to the website you suggested.

Okay, I went there and I downloaded a bunch of crap I think I need. Still doesn't work.

I've tried other cd's and it works fine, except for that japanese one and this one. After I downloaded everything from epson.com/support, I tried opening it but the it said something like 'These programs are not compatible with this computer' It said it was compatible with Vista but is it because I have a laptop? Or does that even matter?

Try installing via Add Hardware in Control Panel , do it all manually , direct it to the software. You'll hafta do this for all 3, I believe BTW what model no for the 3/1 ?

^I did all of that. Nothing. I called this computer guy, a friend, but he never showed up so I just returned everything out of frustration.

Thanks for the help guys.
