An avid fan of cinema, figured this could be a place to discuss upcoming films and new releases.






There is a quaint little movie theatre down the street from my house that is not widely known to most people so it is often empty, especially during the day. This makes for a pleasant experience as there are fewer distractions, less people talking or being loud during the film. One gimmick this theatre does to garner more of an audience is offer $5 Tuesdays. All movies, including new releases, are $5 all day. Combine that with $2 popcorn for joining their email club and you've got a great deal. My movie buddy and I usually go every Tues if we can both make it. Hence, the title of the thread.

Walking With Dinosaurs the 3D movie.



Eager to see this upcoming new release.
Set to be released here in the states Christmas Day 12/25/2013.







This film will be in 3D and is the cinematic version based on the groundbreaking Walking With Dinosaurs documentary.
Tells the story of a herbivore who grows up to be a hero or some shit. When I first saw the preview I almost blew a load in my pants, but then I realized the dinos talk....like Disney's Dinosaur, only using updated technology to create a more realistic world. Aside from them talking, the concept and graphics look amazing

As a kid, one of my big passions was Dinosaurs and still is. If I had the patience for it, would have loved to been a paleontologist.
Oh well, I'll settle for computer generated talking dinos on the big screen.



 
The Hobbit-The Desolation of Smaug


New film set to be released 12/13/2013
The sequel to the prequel trilogy to LOTR.








 
I can't wait until The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
 
300: Rise of an Empire.




Although this is far from historical accuracy, it does look good and another one to anticipate.

Not sure when this film will be released, sometime in 2014.
Although it may not be biblically accurate, it does have a great cast and the CG, special effects and cinematography look incredible.
