Turning to Steroids

Why exactly do you want to use steroids? Well it obviously can't be to get in shape and live a healthier more sick-free lifestyle, because steroids are anything but healthy and they are not the way to go about getting healthy. The purpose of running and cardio is to strengthen the heart and raise the immune system and metabolism. The purpose of weight training is to build a solid core and become stronger. Steroids contradicts all the main reasons to work out and get healthy in the first place. Yes they will get you stronger, but once you skyrocket and peak you will flatline and find yourself not gaining anymore, and then you will turn to more steroids, and more and more and more, because the gain will keep demanding more product. It will damage your liver because it cannot break down steroids properly, you will probably damage your kidneys because its very difficult to drink about 12 liters of water a day, you will probably damage your adrenal glands because they will kick it into overdrive and your adrenal will learn to rely on the steroids not nature. You will become extremely moody with people and become very short tempered. You will want to fight anyone that pisses you off. You may loose some hair and your skin may break out in acne. So now that we have established that you dont want to take steroids to become healthy, what IS the reason. Well, it must be to become more physically and sexually attractive to other people. And what IS the reason that you want to become more physically and sexually attractive to people? Because then more people will want to have sex with you. Well guess what, when you are on sterois, you will have one hell of a time getting hard, PLUS your sex drive will go down anyway so whats the point of even trying to get hard when you don't want to have sex in the first place? And what is the point of having so many people sexually attracted to you if you can't have sex with them in the long run? Dude, don't do it. Period.

My question is always: how do you know they're really steroids? It is not like you can get them from a (legal) doctor unless you have a medical reason to need them. Getting them from some kind of steroids dealer I would assume it is just some cheap liquid in a jar, probably full of melamine from China.

Without a legal doctor I could sue for damages, I couldn't imagine getting into that.

Or you can always visit your nearest GNC and inquire about those powder products.

I completely understand!

I'd recommend you watch this documentary: Bigger, faster, stronger (I think that's the title).

I've also been considering the roid use, so I'll definitely keep an eye on this thread too!

steroids are for medical use so what are the side effects in the future?

Steroids is stupid and the easy way out.

You can take supplements that will help you bulk up but I guarantee that steroids are NOT going to give you long term effects. I used to live in California and so many guys would turn to steroids and yes they WOULD bulk up and get shockingly big and transform their bodies but once they stopped taking them they'd go back to the same size they were prior to injecting, and it just isn't worth the negative side effects you'll experience later in your life from taking them.

Again, do what you want. In the end it's your decision but I guarantee you that it's not going to give you longterm effects and unless you consistently keep taking them, you won't keep seeing results.

I see a lot of guys in the gym who are doing steroids. Generally, they look good the first time they do them but with each round of they do, they look less and less balanced. And the back acne- ick!

Assuming that the pictures that you've posted over the past year or so are accurate representations, you have a good mesomorphic body. You don't need more bulk.

There's a couple of things that worry me about your last couple of threads.

One concern is that you have what we jokingly call "reverse anorexia" which is guys who have nice bodies who nevertheless see themselves as "too small" or "not big enough". It's a body image disorder and there are a lot of guys in the gym who have it.

The other concern that I have is that you're looking for a drug or a pill or something that will provide a shortcut. You may be going through a period of depression. Steroids provide a lot of higher highs and a lot of lower lows. If you are going through a depression, you need to deal with that before you consider doing steroids.

Do not do steroids. Severe liver damage will result. The pics in your gallery show you have a fine body. Just work out and eat right.

I honestly think it's because I look around the gym and feel a little inadequate.

How about going to another gym? At least where I live, we have some that are for the guys who want to get as big as possible, taking steroids and whatnot. And you have others that are more health oriented. For people who want to stay in shape, not necessarily be as big and "ripped" as possible.

I can't really see why anyone would work out for any other reason than to look, feel and be healthy. I mean, instead of looking like a Belgian Blue, and potentially expose one self to health risks.

Also, I find that the gyms where focus on health, rather than big muscles have a lot more positive and light-hearted ambience. No one will make you feel inadequate if you're not as big or well-defined as they might be. I find that a lot better than being in a room full of testosterone-driven bulls who scream and give you derogatory stare if you happen to cross eyes with them.

I'm sorry that I, like others, am not answering your actual question, but I hope my advice could help if the problem really is as you describe it - feeling inadequate compared to the people who happen to be around you when you're working out.

First off, I want to say that I appreciate the concern. I really do. That's why I keep coming back here because I know I can talk to people who will really listen and give feeback. .....I do want to look good, I think we all can agree it's something we wouldn't turn down given the opportunity.

The advice is well-intended and our frankness is not intended to be mean.

What we are telling you is that you do look good. We just don't understand why you do not see that you are in good shape and have a nice body.

I work out and exercise pretty hard and pretty often to stay in the shape I'm in. I honestly think it's because I look around the gym and feel a little inadequate. Alot of times it feels like I don't get the results I feel I should, given how hard I work.

I will consider GNC and some supplements, but that is a road I've taken many a time and ended up just dumping money into something that made little difference, in my humble opinion.

A lot of supplements are junk and a waste of money. There are a few- amino acids, whey protein, glutamine, creatinine, etc that are nutritional supplements that won't hurt and can give you an extra boost in your workouts. But most of these things you can also get from a healthy diet and good nutrition.

There's no replacement for time and work. Everything else is temporary and in some cases, counter-productive. Working out should make you feel better about yourself if you've set realistic, attainable goals. But if the root is a self-image issue or a body-image disorder, no amount of supplements or work in the gym will get to the root of issue.

It's like we say so many times in these forums- it all begins with liking and loving yourself.

What is your diet like? Just eat tons of protein and I'm talking like several chicken breasts, 3-4 hamburgers, couple tuna fish sandwiches. Meaning, multiple portions of what normal people would consider one meal. Add in at least a few scoops of whey protein and you should be making gains without steroid use.

BTW you look great right now. Sure you're not a musclehead bodybuilder but that's not really attractive to be one! If your goal is to be hot then around where you are now is nothing to look down upon.

I agree with Luka, stay off the steroids.
