I think it's obvious from some of my last posts, but as broke as I've been in life, I cringe at the idea of a rich boyfriend. I feel it would completely undermine my feeling of independence and control.

This is completely true--I have met rich older guys in the city with young boy toys and the kid very often comes across as a unhappy zombie --a puppet of the rich guy---and many of these rich guys know exactly what they are doing--if they are going to pay for it, they are going to control it ---and if they get bored they can get a replacement--no shortage of young gay whores lol---but the young guy is so in love with a lifestyle---they try to deal with it as long as they can---they chose money over love---it's a risk because some can waste their youth and end up with nothing.
