Two and a Half Men

Re: Two and a Half Men - Anyone watching it?

I used to watch it - Berta is my favorite !

Why id Two and a half Men still on the air?

Garbage.

Re: Why id Two and a half Men still on the air?

I've not watched it since Charlie got the axe.

For the record, I can't fucking stand Ashton Kutcher.

As to your question, I think because they're not finished beating that particular dead horse.

Plus, what would fill its place? Another rubbish reality show probably.

Re: Why id Two and a half Men still on the air?

I guess it still rakes in enough $$ for them so they will continue to make the show until the other two actors call it quits.

Re: Why id Two and a half Men still on the air?

Not fun any more it is as if Charlie took the good writers with him when he left.
But wait it gets even more stupid than it has already become. Chuck Lorre seems ready to inflict some added "Misery." and has cast Kathy Bates to guest-star as the ghost of Charlie Harper
In the April 30 episode, Jon Cryer's character Alan Harper suffers a heart attack and has a supernatural visitation by the ghost of his brother, who apparently now looks like Bates.
Thing is I love Bates so maybe just maybe as strupid as it sounds it just might work and turn out funny

Re: Why id Two and a half Men still on the air?

I think it is all about money for sure. Not the same anymore without Charlie Sheen. This has got to be the last season of the show.

Re: Why id Two and a half Men still on the air?

I doubt it will be the last season if they can get Ashton to sign back up. They were still the number one comedy if I'm not mistaken, at least on CBS and with Big Bang and Mike & Molly hot in the mix, Chuck can have his say so. The show is hit and miss and none of the characters are evolving. We knew the kids was gonna be a dope but did they have to pair him with another dope and who would actually let a grown man who they never met live in their own w/o paying anything and they aint' fucking him.......nobody, lol.

Re: Why id Two and a half Men still on the air?

Why did it make it so far in the first place? It's never been that funny.

Re: Why id Two and a half Men still on the air?

It's a consistent Top 20 in the ratings, despite the fact that I don't know a single person who watches it. We enjoy the other 3 Monday night sitcoms but switch to something on the DVR for the 9 - 9:30 slot.

Re: Why id Two and a half Men still on the air?

I have no idea why it was ever made. Never found it funny or what people liked about it

It's doo doo.

Re: Why id Two and a half Men still on the air?

I liked the first 5 or 6 episodes this season. But from there it went downhill fast. It emphasizes too much on drugs and sex. Not that I am a prude, but the writing is literally fixated on those topics. Whereas with the Charlie years, the comedic writing was smarter and more diverse. Sex has always been a big part of the show, but now it has crossed over into raunch territory. And every week Jake is doing drugs, and even Berta is dealing drugs now. What is Chuck thinking? Does it reflect the modern world more now? Maybe. But does that make it funny? No.

^ it's pandering to the lowest common denominator, nothing more.

...this is still on CBS, right?

Re: Why id Two and a half Men still on the air?

I don't know why this show is on the air besides the ratings. Since Charlie is gone it kinda ruins the purpose of Two and a Half Men. Berta is lighter now on her humor and the whole show sucks

I prefer the Charlie Version

Re: Why id Two and a half Men still on the air?

Men wasn't among the 18 shows CBS recently renewed, however Ashton Kutcher is in talks to remain for another season in a deal worth $1 million per episode. This season he was paid $700,000 per episode this season making him the current highest paid actor in TV comedy. That millon per show is still below the $1.25 million per episode paid to Charlie Sheen.

Re: Why id Two and a half Men still on the air?

Another problem is that the most of the original supporting cast members are seldom or never seen anymore. The mother, Alan's ex-wife, Rose. . . not to be seen. They used to be the best part of the show. The mother was on last week, which was the first time since the first couple of shows this season. Berta is still on often, but now that she is a drug dealer, she's not the same. And while Ashton is attractive, I don't think we need a joke about how big his dick is at least once every episode.

Yes they do; it's in his contract.

Same here. I know waaaaay more people who watch basic cable shows like Jersey Shore or the Kardashians. Shows I hate btw, but would watch over 2.5 Men in a heartbeat, with or without Charlie.

Or Jake comes on for five mins and farts and that's it on almost every episode
