I'm curious -- what does "black" "look" like? As someone who is biracial, hardly a day goes by, that someone does not ask me my background. I may not "look" black or white (to some, I look either), but I look different enough for people to notice, comment, judge, etc. This is not necessarily a negative experience, just a different experience.
But, what does bother me is when other people try to discount my ethnicity based on their perception of how I look or should look (or talk or should talk.)

When I was a member of Fratpad, I felt sorry for Taj having people ask him over and over again if he was black, or if he was "mixed" or commenting that he did not sound black or that he did sound black.
I'm sure he's used to it, but you could tell it became tiresome for him.

Here's a good anology, one of my best friends lives here but was born and raised in Paris. Of course he speaks with a French accent. Whenever we are out, someone comments on his accent. This can happen several times in a day. He's a good looking guy with a decent personality. But after some people hear his accent, they want to sleep with him, be his best friend, by him a drink or hear him say something in French.
