I never really noticed the rich kids -- everyone I knew was on grants, scholarships, and loans. But that's an interesting observation, one I have no trouble believing.
 
I'm a journalist who's looking into the Clementi story, and I'm hoping there's someone reading this forum who knew Tyler and might be able to help me. After reading some of the more recent press on Tyler's death, I'm left scratching my head. He seemed like a savvy kid who knew how to take care of himself. He also seemed like he was making the right moves in terms of dealing with this intrusion into his privacy. His behavior doesn't seem like that of a person who was at-sea. I don't have any extra info to share, but even from this distance, in New Zealand, I can see that there must have been something else to this story, and his personal life, than just the incident with his roommate.

The he being referred to is tyler's resident assistant.

Actually Tyler was not talking about his roommate in that post. He was talking about his RA at the dorm. The RA was requesting an actual written report about what Ravi had done.
