Tucker Carlson, professional Republican wingnut, condemned Obama for showing a Christian quality of forgiveness in a comment he made about Michael Vick. Tucker stated that Michael Vick should have been executed, and was part & parcel of the FOX Noise's "let's bitch about Obama" weekend. As usual, these wingnuts drip with hypocrisy. And these so-called "Xtians" whine about Islam and Sharia law? Puke!

Luke 6:37 & 38 says: “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Very well....cite a source that Mr. Carlson adheres to the scripture you paraphrased.

Or is it your assumption that because one has an (R) beside their name or appears on a conservative show, that they are automatically adopted to your version of the scriptures you paraphrased?

Shall we included closed mindedness as well?

LMAO! You're hilarious and a Fox News junkie I see.

Fox News Watchers The Most Uninformed

There is a problem with the title of the youtube video right off.
"Fox News' Tucker Carlson thinks................"

#-o:badgrin:

^ This.

I'm always delighted that Jon Stewart helped to destroy this guy's career by appearing on his show.

Tucker has zero credibility anymore.

Michael Vick tortured and killed innocent dogs who would not kill for his amusement. He hung, electrocuted and drown them with his own hands. He is a walking piece of shit unfit to be a part of humanity. This is not the guy to be heralding as being "deserving" of anything. Especially not a second chance. Maybe Obama should learn to shut the fuck up instead of looking like a fool every time he opens his yap without benefit of a teleprompter.

And for the record, it's Islam that has a problem with dogs, not Christianity.

Tucker Carlson is a horse's ass, but this is one time
I tend to agree with him on. Vick deserves exactly
what he exacted on those dogs.

Tucker Carlson believes, as "a Christian," that people deserve second chances - except when one kills a dog. That is a sin, apparently, from which there can be no possibility of redemption in Tucker's value system. Tucker believes in second chances except when he doesn't believe in them.

And, evidently, dogs are more valuable than humans in Tucker's version of Christianity, since he would exact the death of a human for the killing of a dog.

We have here a Christian who doesn't believe in redemption and who values canine life above human life.

Some Christian.

Yup! Additionally the Bible commands people to stay out of government, but Republicans love to flout that one too. But then again when has a cult/Republican party ever made sense?

He's entitled to his opinion just as you are yours. I don't agree with him, but I don't agree with your attack on him either.

Any time you have an incident like Vick's opinions are going to be widespread. And to be frank, Obama should have known better by now than to stick his nose in it. It isn't an issue that concerns him, and isn't a headache he needs. (especially after a relatively successful december)

Really? Got a cite for that one?

game set match

conveniently forgot by the originator of the thread

no question that Mike Vick is playing some excellent football ......... no doubt

and he did his time

one could argue - and many have - that his time was not enough

Pres. Obama should understand that supporting Michael Vick who committed a heinous act is just not the thing to do

it just isn't

Pres. Obama is clearly feeling his oats - and not handling prosperity (last month's legislative victories) very well

as jack said

he should learn to shut the fuck up once in a while

Really? Got a cite for that one?

Matthew 22:21
They said to Him, "Caesar's." Then He said to them, "(A)Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's."

John 18:36
Jesus answered, "My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world."

Let me preface my remarks by saying, I don't have any faith in anybody who wears a bow tie, so that's where I stand on Carlson.

We have a responsibility as human beings to treat animals as God's creatures that he put on this earth for us to use, not to abuse. I've hunted and killed animals to be used as food. I did not hang them and watch them die a horrible death for my own amusement. I did not electrocute them, nor hold a puppies head under water and drown it. I never ripped the teeth from a female dog so she could not fight off a male dog she did not want to mate with. Michael Vick did all of these things and worse.

That goes to the core of your humanity, or in Vick's case his lack of it. Someone who would do such monstrous things is beyond redemption. Vick is an intelligent, educated man and a gifted athlete. But he is and will always be a monster.

Neither of these scriptures contains a prohibition, real or imagined, against Christians participating in government.

Matthew was discussing materialism versus practicing Christian principles

John was simply describing Christ talking about the kingdom of heaven not being of this world.

Spot on! :=D:

Although I don't agree with Mr. Carlson's "execution" view, although I'm not against execution. I think to fit the punishment with the crime, a barren desert island somewhere would be most appropriate. Give him a rope/wire, and a generator. And let him choose. Starvation, hanging, electrocution, or drowning.

Don't forget to turn loose as many dogs as he tortured or killed -- with attitudes like he wanted in his 'fighters'.

Tucker Carlson believes, as "a Christian," that people deserve second chances - except when one kills a dog. That is a sin, apparently, from which there can be no possibility of redemption in Tucker's value system. Tucker believes in second chances except when he doesn't believe in them.

Fairly well stated.

Of course what this really is, is a thread for Molten to parade his bigotry. But that's okay -- in this instance, he's pretty spot-on. There are millions of faux Christians running around who are really nothing more than bronze-age tyrant wanna-bes, without a clue what mercy, justice, or humility are.

Oops -- those are OLD Testament virtues they haven't even achieved. :help:

Sad -- partly for this reason:

Neither of these scriptures contains a prohibition, real or imagined, against Christians participating in government.

Matthew was discussing materialism versus practicing Christian principles

John was simply describing Christ talking about the kingdom of heaven not being of this world.

... but also because there are MUCH better passages for your purpose.

I'm surprised you didn't try this one:

"And hearing this, the ten became indignant with the two brothers. But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. 26“It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Really, making a case that Christians aren't to be in government is extremely difficult. OTOH, making a case that they should never, ever try to get rules of behavior derived from the Bible into law is easy. Principles from the Bible are another matter: there's no problem getting justice, mercy, humility, or compassion, for example, into the law.

For that, the second passage you cited is superb, since it reduces to "don't mix what is Caesar's with what is God's, or vice versa". And there, you've got a huge legitimate gripe with the Republicans.
