22-year-old James Morrison released his debut CD here in the U.S. about six weeks ago and I have totally fallen in love with him, his voice & lyrics. :=D:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Morrison_(singer)

He's been described as the U.K. John Mayer but I find him a million miles more talented than Mayer.

My personal fave tracks off "Undiscovered" are the title song, "You Give Me Something," and "Wonderful World." But I'm very, very confused as to what the lead single here in the U.S. is. Does any other fans of Morrison know?!?

I don't know what his lead single is, but I discovered him when a song of his hit our store CD last month.

"This Boy" was the title and I instantly fell in love with it. He really is an amazingly talented singer.

I'm from the UK and I really like his songs!

I was pleasantly surprised to see it in an episode of Ugly Betty that was aired over here on friday! :D

It's You Give Me Something.....getting a lot of airplay here in Boston....and Vh1 has the video and a Live @ Vh1 session up with him on their webiste!

Oh God. I've been a fan since spring of '06 before his album even came out in the US. I'm from the US and heard "Better Man" playing in an Episode of Grey's Anatomy in Season 2 last April or May (06). He was just touring here and I got to go to the concert and meet him and all that. It was amazing.

And to answer your question....like it's been said above it was "You Give Me Something"

Thanks guys!!! My fave track is "Wonderful World." That song is just screaming to be the second single ... and I can see it actually enjoying some U.S. chart success. Anybody else hear some similarities in Morrison's vocals between him and Van Hunt? Dazzling soul from a Brit!

~ Kevin

Actually a station here in Boston played "Wonderful World" before "You Give Me Something" but only for a week or so before they were given the official single...so it's def a possibility for the second single....it was a single in the UK i believe

I love You Give Me Something. It made me download the album.

I bought his album back in like October, loved it. I love getting UK music in the US before everyone else, and then telling all my friends about it.

love You Give Me Something, i bought the cd a day or two ago from amazon just waiting for it to get here.

not to be stupid

but wouldn't he be advised change his name.

heck the real jimmy morrison is still alive i think,

just asking.

There's a trumpet player named James Morrison...and then there's Jim Morrision.....but who says there can't be more then one singer with the same name?! That's only a problem when you're an actor(see Vanessa L. Williams)

^ ok call yourself elvis

maybe call yourself Mick Jagger

hey call youself Micheal Jackson.

but hey..............
name yourself after a legend.

stupid... i think so

I'm totally in love with James Morrison by the way of youtube.........His CD is Awesome, I'm totally upset that James Blunt seems to be getting so much attention, James Morrison is where it's at.

I really like undiscovered and his other single a wonderful world. I don't think he should change his name, that's the name he was given at birth presumably. Most of the kids these days have never heard of jim morrison anyway so I doubt it will prevent them from getting to like James. Let his talent speak for itself.

Wow I made this post almost three months ago and it's still got legs.

Sadly neither "Wonderful World" nor "You Give Me Something" made any impact here in the U.S. this spring & summer. I added James Morrison to my MySpace Friends page and I believe he posted a bulletin this past week saying "One Last Chance" is the new single from the awesome "Undiscovered" collection.

he's still pretty popular here in Boston...just had a sold out show at the Paradise this past week...which was great! the night before he headed out on tour w/ John Mayer and Ben Folds!

It would be awesome if NARAS remembers Morrison's name come Grammy nomination time (first week of January). Morrison's even a perfect example of pop vocal male -- along with Mat Kearney and Paolo Nutini. Maybe the newbies will have a chance in '08?
