U.S. Govt Coffin STOCKPILE...

Does anyone know WHY the US government is storing 1/2 million plastic coffins just outside of Atlanta???

They say the stockpile is so big that it can be seen from satellites...

The prevailing thought is Obama is stockpiling the coffins to bury his opponents after he orders them killed.

I commented that this improved my opinion of Obama as I thought he would just burn the bodies.

The stockpiling coffins is a move taken to ensure that people will receive a proper burial when those that see the need to take fire arms to public debates that very will could result in widespread violence in the streets.

Seriously though, they don't look like coffins, they look like storage tubs. Are the cement trucks supposed to be involved in some way? And, I'f be concerned if they weren't keeping coffins on hand. CGHJ is correct. A pandemic of rampant avian flu or some other strain could kill tens of thousands in a short period of time. Any natural disaster could put forth a demand for coffins. But I really don't think they look like coffins. More like shipping containers or storage bins. Has anyone thought to contact the site manager for an explanation of their purpose? Speculation is all fine and good, but why get our knickers in a twist over something we are not sure of?

In all seriousness, I have no idea.

However, FEMA stockpiles water, food(MREs), tents, blankets etc just in case.

I can see them stockpiling body bags and coffins just in case.

They are manufactured for use as burial vaults.

The amazing part is, I googled Pamela Schuffert (the source of the 30k guillotine story) and it turns out she believes every word of it, and that's by no means the nuttiest thing, either. Makes some of the people on this board look positively sane!

But it probably isn't a bad idea to have some sort of a means to dispose of large amounts of human remains in the event of a catastrophe.

This is what I was thinking.

Any decent government should make provisions for certain emergencies. Should have stockpiles.

These coffins will come in quite handy when untold thousands start dying of the Swine Flu.
