I'm so very happy for her. It's great to see a Latina win and for something (Ugly Betty) that is truly entertaining. Her's is a great character, one with a lot of gumption and drive. It's just great.

I love America and I thought she was brilliant in Real Women Have Curves,(and she was so touched to win an award for the first time,her acceptance speech had me tearing up..)but I am not loving Ugly Betty. *shrug* I don't think it's funny at all....it's like the poor man's The Devil Wears Prada to me...

By the way...I think they are trying to turn The Devil Wears Prada into a television show which is crazy since Ugly Betty is already on,but I guess we'll see how it works out...

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one tearing up at America's win and acceptance speech. It was the highlight of a great awards night, Helen Mirrens two, Meryls nutsy-wonderful acceptance and Tom Hanks `ballsy' tribute to Warren Beatty notwithstanding. Now if someone could explain Babels appeal to me... I'm left as cold as I was last year by Crash......

I love America Ferrara. She is so cute and her acceptance was absolutely wonderful and very inspiring. I think she is amazing on the show and I'm so glad the producers picked her for the major role.
