  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Ugly Bitch gloats about "winning" marriage.

She has an opinion. You may not agree but if you want her to listen to you. You should listen to her.

She did not resort to name calling as you did, Jasun.

Look in the mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful. As you always do. ..|
So, if the Ku Klux Klan decides to burn a cross on my lawn, I should go outside and ask them to explain why they are doing it, even if I don't agree with them?

In this case, I agree with Jasun. A bigot is a bigot.

Yeah...... as someone that was born and currently lives in Maine, I can tell you that after seeing the disgusting, lying, and outright vicious campaign that yes on one and Maggie Gallagher launched on gay and lesbians of this state.... thats not going to happen.

So you think name calling is the way to go?

My first impulse was a lot worse.

Slime like her doesn't deserve polite discourse. She's lied and whipped up anti-gay fear and hatred in her quest to hurt gay people. She does this because she needs a way for herself to feel better after her divorce and out-of-wedlock child birth.

She's the one who went on attack and I'm not going to be nice.

We've tried to tell the truth, we've tried to appeal to people's sense of dignity.

We tried it your way.

We had our rights voted away from us.

Now it's time to go on the offensive. And "offensive" is just what that bitch and her ilk are going to get.

She resorted to lying... to fear mongering... to a vicious campaign whose goal was nothing but hurting our community for sport.

And then she made that video to gloat.

OH.. and she ALSO went to a "no on 1" meeting the day after so she could just sit back and revel in the anger and sadness she created.

If you can think of a word other than "cunt" for a person like that, I'd like to hear it.

I would like to see that woman slapped in the face with a giant (used) Dildo

*sigh*

Happy thoughts... :)

Hmm...

Two things bother me about her....

1) I'm a pretty mellow guy, but I get a really *angry* feeling watching her and her self-righteous smirk as she declares "victory" for "straight marriage" or whatever her deal is... Which of course is just the other way of saying, "We stopped those Mo's from enjoying the same rights that we do. They can't marry the person they love, isn't that great ? "

2) But mostly, it's the people that follow her that are the most offensive. I'm not sure what they are after, what motivates them. Is it some religious bigotry ? (Gay marriage makes Jesus mad) Is it just a general uncomfortable feeling over the thought of two people of the same sex going at it ? Or, is it perhaps yet another way of helping the religious right pretend that gay sex doesn't exist. Or, more importantly, that denying it's existence helps to quell their own feelings toward the same sex. Those pesky, lingering thoughts about undressing the pool boy or bending the cable guy over the kitchen counter....

By making it illegal, it's like making it go away, right ?

But of course, it never does.

Don't write her off so fast. Unfortunately, these kind of people pass on their values (and prejudices) to their kids. She may come off as bitch but technically she is right they won (this round). It's when we start getting complacent that we've lost the battle.

There will always be people who need to feel morally superior to others. It's the fuel that gets them through life. Sad but true.

Well.. they used to.

The under-30 crowd voted for gay marriage 72% in Maine. it was the 65+ crowd that voted 70% against.

Do you have exact stats Jasun? I have no doubt those are true BTW.

But yah, kids are growing up in a time when homosexuality is so mainstream that it's becoming harder and harder for parents to instill biggotry in them.

LMAO @ the parody videos, especially the one of the dog.

That is why they pray to win the lottery, arrogance.

And the reason why they thank Jesus when they win on Deal or No Deal.

Oh, and in those television court programmes. They 'shine' on those. (I mean 'literally', what with all that gold and diamonds all over the place and the $500 hair and make-up jobs. Oh, but they're not greedy or vain or anything like that. No indeed!)

I keep waiting for the lightning bolts from the sky, but I suppose the producers would have to censor those out, wouldn't they?

Daigle: Dear Maggie Gallagher

I don’t blame you, Mags. Everyone wants Meaning. But you’re earning on the backs of people like me, people who work hard, contribute positive things to the community, who love with honesty and integrity and who don’t deserve to be slandered and spit on and attacked in the way your organization has attacked us.

That’s not cool, Mags. And there are times when I suspect you know it. Because while others may just dismiss you as a raving lunatic with delusions of grandeur (just saying what I’ve heard), I think there are nights when you turn out the light and lie there in dark and you know, in the secret place we all have inside of us, that what you’re doing is wrong.

Next time you have one of those nights, think about me, Mags. I’ll be in the dark in some other part of the world, and I’ll be sleeping well. Because I haven’t built my sense of self on the backs of anyone. I found Meaning in the right place — within myself.
