what excuse will he give? he wasn't sure he was gay ? he didn't know? will he ask us to " pray for him" ?
I am preparing my post for when he is outed and forgive him and give him a pass like many do when someone who has fiercely has voted down our rights comes out. I hope he is outed soon.

I'm not for "outing" but if someone has aggressively worked to limit rights for gays and IS gay they need to be shown for the hypocrites they are

He's #61 out of 100 US Senators, that means there are 39 people ahead of him in the senate alone. Now, any senator is very powerful, but the way you put it, he's almost president or God, and that is not true. By the way, I agree with your second statement, that he has to be able to take the heat.

I always felt that Graham was a squish and a weasel anyhow. The way I see it, it kind of like being a member of the banking committee and railing against abuse by bankers and then accepting a sweetheart mortgage on house in Ireland. Wait a minute that actually was done, and now Connecticut is stuck with the wannabe war veteran Blumenthal. Ah shit what a dilemma. Everyone is entitled to a private life, even politicians. But when a office holders private life is a contradiction of his public stance, then the voters are entitled to know about it. See, if the guy supported gay rights and was a libertarian, that's consistent and I'd say leave him in the closet. But if he posed as an evangelical, voted against gay rights, but likes to play hide the sausage on the dl, naaaaaaa, open the door and turn on the lights. He's got it coming. At least he doesn't have a wife who will look foolish and used.

Neutralizes an antigay politician.
His antigay influence will diminish. He might even feel free to start voting pro-gay, while he remains in office.

Provides a deterrent against other closeted gays from allowing themselves to get into similar situations (maybe they'll vote pro-gay or even, if still just thinking about going into politics, join the other party rather than try to advance in the Republican Party).

I'd say that's two rights, not just one right.

Outing him is a violation of his privacy. That's a wrong.

When he votes to violate the privacy of others by supporting discriminatory laws and policies that's a bigger wrong.
