I happen to find MMA interesting.. besides the fact that I only know little about either fighters besides their names.

Machida is very good at striking though.
I've seen a few of his fights. The one that sticks out in my mind is when he beat Tito Ortiz.

What could be better than two dudes in tiny shorts beating the snot out of each other I ask?

Considering i'm one of the people that post in the MMA thread, and considering we already discussed the fight IN that thread, no, it wouldn't be ignored.

Of course Miss Dduder only posted this - late as usual, btw - so later she can go around saying "dem gheys sure aint likin' dem fights, deys must be PRISSY FEM PANTY WEARAHS!!!".

I'm actually REALLY excited about Condit vs Diaz at UFC 143. I don't want GSP to have lost the title mind you, but i've got a feeling these two will put on a hell of a show.

Just watched the fight on-line. Diaz was chasing Condit the whole fight. Condit was avoiding Diaz like the plague but landed more kicks and punches. It was frustrating to watch them dancing around each other. It was really close in my opinion and I can't believe it was a unanimous decision.

Well, since the UFC has transferred channels and therefore nights, i'm going to be watching the start of TUF - Cruz vs Faber - just to see how it all holds up.

Gotta say though, I am pissed because I have missed ALL of the special events - on FX and FUEL(because I don't have FUEL). Also, I kind of want to check out Strikeforce - heard the womens' title match was INTENSE.

Damn! I should have watched the Strikeforce Women's match. Don't know if you have "Fox Deportes" (The Spanish Fox sports channel) but they show a lot of the fights that are on fuel. Can't wait for The Ultimate Fighter to begin on Friday, especially because Danny from Sean Cody is on it.

The show started with some good fights but I felt as it went on I didn't find some of the fights as exciting. I have never really been a fan of the first episode though because we really don't know much about the fighters. I don't know I may be the only one that feels this way, but still looking forward to next week.

Yeah, I agree - the first 5 or 6 fights were great, and then it tapered off... and then it got good again, and then started to waver again.

I was trying to wait to see if the guy from Sean Cody got in the house, but I don't remember his fight at all. I do remember my new husband(last name Smith) did NOT make it... disappointing.

There's a good reason you don't remember it because it sucked. Could of been the worst fight of the night, and you could tell Dana White was not happy with either guy.

Been getting to catch alot of UFC action I've missed lately, on Fuel. Just got done watching Edgar/Maynard.

Definitely gonna still tune in, but the TUF premiere really didn't impress me too much. There were for sure a couple of fights that stood out, but overall, I had a hard time keeping focused on the show. Surely things will pick up as the show rolls on though. Damn FX though...I taped the second airing of the premiere, but missed like the last 10 minutes because the show started late.

Got my eye on Cruickshank(sp?), but I think as far as the fight, Justin Lawrence probably impressed me the most.

So.... (spoiler) Cruinckshank disappointed the FUCK out of me and got knocked out. Too much dancing all just to eat a pristine knee.

James Vick got really lucky with that knee. He looked horrible last week and this week he did absolutely nothing until he threw that knee. He was just lucky.

Yeah, you're right on that, but neither of them did really anything at all that warrants me thinking that they were at all deserving to be in the house. Cruinckshank just looked so much better in the first fight.... like he could actually win.

Vick must have a guardian angel or something. I can't believe he won by knockout. He said it was meant to be a kick but It was the knee that landed. UGH..
