Is anyone else here looking forward to UMVC3? Now that all the new characters trailers are out who are you most looking forward to?























 
Dr. Strange, Firebrand and Iron Fist(maybe) are the ones i'm looking to try out.

I think the last 4, seeing them in action, have left me disappointed, ESPECIALLY Phoenix Wright - a waste of a slot, in my opinion.
 
I'm looking forward to Hawkeye, Ghost Rider, Nova and RR.

I agree. The Phoenix Wright character doesn't quite fit.
 
I generally use female characters so I'm not happy that they didn't add any. But Vergil looks cool and I love ninjas so I'm thinking about Strider. I just hate how they gave him low health. And they weakened Phoenix so much. I still hate X-Factor.

Even less health than before. Considering her health was originally less than a quarter on others this is bad. It's supposed to offset the huge advantage of a lv 5 Dark Phoenix as it loses health anyway but it's a poor design choice given the discrepancies with harder fighters.

I really don't like the changes or additions so I'll only really get it if they stop supporting the original. And better hit confirmation spacing - high level play on an xbox controller is bloody difficult.
 
I think at this point, if you're a good enough player, you ought to be able to prevent a Phoenix player from even accessing Dark Phoenix. No need to lower her damage threshold even more. -_-

Phoenix has less health, her fireballs and traps disappear when she's hit, she can only perform one action in the air and the invincibility on her Phoenix Rage is gone.

Also, they indirectly weakened her because it's harder to build meter in UMVC 3 in general and there are meter stealing team combos in this game.
 
Looks like I won't be using Phoenix anymore.

Oh my gosh, I didn't even notice it until you mentioned it - twelve new additions and not a single female!

Geez!!

Just think of the possibilities from the Marvel canon! I would have liked to have seen Ms Marvel, or Mystique!

I still cannot fathom why they had Hulk and She-Hulk, and Wolverine and X-23.
 
^Well Hulk and She-Hulk play like two entirely different characters, so that one is a lot more passable than Wolverine and X-23, who are a lot more similar with some subtle nuances.
 
She Hulk is a very good team character but can't Cross-Sup[er like others whereas Hulk is a one man army. It's technique with those two, pressure vs all out offence. With wolverine and x 23 they play more differently than people realise. Both rushdown but wolvie dominates the ground while X's moves can be charged, feinted and she's an aerial damage specialist. I have them and wesker as a team - Ground, aerial and counter assaults.
 
I'm ashamed to be the one asking this... but...

...when does this come out?
