Unable to clear my bowel completedly

Re: I have difficulty defecating and it is affecting my life

No need for an apology IMO. This is obviously something that is bothering you and wanting to get it off your chest and maybe get some help is a good thing.

I want to make a suggestion just in case if might apply to you so if you seek professional health you might want to include it just in case it applies.

If you have ever had any kind of sexual abuse or even emotional abuse /shame directed at you from the outside or even self induced it can manifest in alot of different ways and possibly factor in to the problem you are having and it would be important to let a professional know about so you can get the proper help you need. I wish you success.

Thank you for your reply and advices.

I don't have any sexual abuse before.

Previously, in the past, when I pull down my pants to sit down on the toilet bowl to poop, my stool will come out in about two portions.

The first portion comes out quite easily. But the second, or third, fourth portion require a lot of straining to come out.

But around August last year, I did not poop for about 2-3 days. When I finally pooped, the stool was so hard, very very hard and very very painful to come out.

It was like trying to push out an enormous, gigantic piece of rock out from my rectum.

Then finally, a lot of blood come dripping out from my rectum and a very large gigantic piece of poop come out from my rectum.

After that incident, I notice that my poop only comes out in one portion and it takes very long, quite long for that portion of stool to come out. I need to push and breath in and breath out for that one portion of stool to come out.

When the stool finally come out, I cannot push out any remaining stool ( 2nd, 3rd or 4th portion of stool or regardless whether there is any leftover stool or not)

Now I can only pass out one portion of my stool.

I am very scared and worried whether if it is due to damaged , weakened muscles and nerves.

In the past, when I pass out gas, I can feel the stool inching forward a little bit to the rectum opening.

Now when I pass out gas a lot, the stool does not seem to be moving or inching forward at all.

These past few days, I have a lot of blood dripping from my rectum whenever I pooped.

I have been taking deflon tablets. But the bleeding doesn't seem to have stopped yet.

And I keep feeling strain , something " being pulled" from my groin area and inner thigh area when I pass out gas or when the poop seems to be moving a little bit.

I don't know if it is due to damaged nerves and muscles or something physical blocking in my rectum?

But I last did a sigmoidoscopy in December last year and the result is normal.

Well said.

As soon as see that anyone is eating 5 slices of white bread for breakfast every morning followed by rice...it is pretty clear what the problem is.

STOP eating bread. And rice.

Get more fruits and vegetables and your constipation will be relieved. I cannot fucking believe that a doctor hasn't told you this.

And get some therapeutic counselling.

Thank you for your advices.

I can't really totally stop eating bread and rice because I need to have carbohydrate.

And the colorectal doctor told me, she said that if I eat a lot of fibre( fruits and vegetables), I will have a lot of poop in my body.

She said that unlike (proteins, carbohydrate, ), fibre cannot be absorbed by the body.

She said that if I have constipation, either I cut down my intake of fibre or if I eat a lot of fibre, then I must drink a lot of water to balance it out.

Exactly. Surely you can see that that means you'd need to go more often.

Re: I have difficulty defecating and it is affecting my life

There are a lot of natural variations with this. I often don't poop every day. Sometimes it is only every 2-3 days; then I poop 2-3 times in one day. Sometimes I do poop every day. It depends on diet and your system, I guess. There's a difference between being constipated and just not having enough poop to poop. I think you worry about it too much.

2 more cents :)

If you include soluble fiber rich foods in your diet everyday...you will not only have more complete bowel movements but they will be much cleaner as well.

Less wiping. Cleaner butt hole.

Beans are great cooked fresh but I buy canned dark red kidney beans and rinse them in a strainer. Add a 1/4 to 1/2 cup to a salad.

Sweet potatoes are a good source of soluble fiber as well as brussels sprouts, broccoli and avocados.

Jesus Christ. Your doctor is a moron.

White bread is not fibre.

Then you will continue to have constipation. Simple as that.

Can I just add that what you need are complex carbohydrates like you get from fruit and vegetables...not simple or refined carbs that you get from white bread.

Do you do any research about diet on your own?

You really need to educate yourself and there is no excuse why you can't..

Hi.

Are you suggesting that I just eat fruits and vegetables every day?

But a normal human being need to have carbohydrate, proteins and fats in their diet every day, isn't it?

I think the point is that you should eat a balanced diet. Some of everything in other words. Try to favour brown bread over white, definitely eat some fruit and vegetables daily, but don't worry about eating rubbish every now and then.

During a kidney stone I had some difficulty. Also when my appendix went.
The first few times I had to do a colon prep for surgery or colonoscopy it was the gallon of stuff or magnesium sulfate (I think). The one I did a couple of months back had me mix 32 ounces of Gatorade with 12 doses of Mirilax and drink it over the course of an hour, then do it again the morning of the procedure (about 12 hours apart). Was by far easier to drink, and wasn't nearly so violent coming out.
That's exactly what I did. The Gator-aide made that a lot easier than plain water, although it took me a very long time before I could drink Gator-aide again! Since I've been clear for over a decade, my doctor has me do the poop on a stick instead.
