Unbelievable lawsuits Part II

I had read about this before your OP. My take is that it came down to the car insurance company telling it's client that he was on his own to defend himself. The women's legal team gave a convincing argument that she was harmed inside the car. The man (client) lost and now the insurance company is being penalized for not defending their client. When you look at it in this way it seems kinda fair.

But still, I don't think the woman should have won against the insurance company. Against the man, maybe. Although apparently he was not aware he had the STD.

I guess I'm not too sure which position you're taking. Are you upholding that it's a bit unfair or that it's decently fair for the man?
Or, perhaps there's a subtle in-between that you'd like to clarify or elaborate on?

Regardless, what exactly is the manufacturer of Hundai Genesis (or any make and model) supposed to do? Design a car that people can't sit or rest in?? (I should hope that point was at least mentioned and addressed in court. #-o)

Furthermore, how exactly is Geico and/or Hyundai responding to this? What is their action and/or proceedings as an aftermath of this crazy-sounding lawsuit?

How is the man coping?

(Of course, to be fair, it's very possible the news tabloid left out unbiased information that would more thoroughly explain why the defendant in question lost. Perhaps there was more to this case that really did put the man at fault than what we're being informed of.)
