Re: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception 11-1-11
So totally late to the game cause I didn't want it to mess up school but thank god for thanksgiving break.
This is actually the first uncharted I've played. I played the demo for the first one and the eyes freaked me out. They still freak me out. The eyes and teeth are so fucking bright. It's like the cheshire cat.
I really like how tactile Nate seems. The slightest bump in the wall elicits such a reaction that makes the characters feel believable, even when he's swatting away imaginary flies. It's a big leap forward from all the foot sliding I remember from previous games (even though there's still a bit of that in here).
The only thing that really bothers me is that it feels like it's made for stupid people. I hate the way the supporting characters tell you how to solve the puzzles. I already know everything I need is in the damn journal. I would be ok with the fact that they give you the answers instead of having to seek them out if they would just leave me alone to solve it.
They're worse than Navi in Ocarina of Time.
