Underwear Borrowing - NOT a fetish question.

I know from the title of this thread, you are probably saying I am in the wrong forum but this is not fetish related....it is more of a question about "borrowing" then fetish related. When I was in college it was sort of common practice with me and my roommates to borrow everything...including underwear, as long as it was clean, we borrowed each others all the time due to lack of clean clothes, laziness, etc. I also borrowed my brothers all the time as well as we lived together a few years after I got out of college....in fact we sort of just had an underwear drawer with mine and his in the drawer all mixed up. At the time, I did not think anything about it and it was not a turn-on at all to wear them. I had not thought about this until today when I was on a blog site and the question was posed "was that normal?" So is it OK to borrow your good, good friends underwear when you are in need? Or him borrow yours? I mean, now, I would have to say that it is a fetish thing for me to swap underwear with guys from the net but that is totally different in my mind with a separate agenda! I am not talking fetish....talking about your gym buddy, best friend, brother, or whoever....would you feel comfortable borrowing his underwear or lending yours to him to wear?

In theory, there's nothing wrong with it.

In practice, though, I'm not a fan. CDs, books, DVDs, equipment (we were in a band) all fine; clothes not so much.

i asked to borrow a friends sweatshirt that i liked. I didn't have anything in that color and wanted to show support of something the next day. I also was attracted to him, but thats besides the point. That was the only time i've ever asked someone for their clothes other than my father because we're the same size. I also tried on another friends briefs but he's unaware.

so to answer your question, I guess if you are really comfortable with each other and it is a sudden thing, then its fine. Like a roomate. but other than that, I think that I and most other men would just deal with the underwear they have on, or if they're sweaty, go without. If you had multiple roomates, I wonder how the collective underwear drawer came about, and in any case, that's unusual. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some who had hidden feelings or even hooked up.

Not to sound creepy, but it reminds me of being a child and if we were dirty or wet or something a friend's mother would be like 'I'll get some of his clothes for you to wear'.

Other than that I don't think I wear anyone else's clothes, but then again I don't live with anyone the same size as me. I guess it could be useful. I don't know about underwear though, even if it was clean I'd feel weird about it.

I've let a friend borrow clean undies a couple of times. No different than borrowing a shirt or any other clothing item. I told him they were clean when I gave them to him and expected them to be clean when I got them back. They were. end of story.

Admittedly, no one's ever asked me to borrow underwear, but I'm not such a prude as to say 'no', depending on who they are. Other clothing has been borrowed--jackets, shirts, pants, sweatshirts, hats, etc--but NEVER socks.

The first time I had a hangover I borrowed my friend's shirt and shorts. I didn't borrow underwear ;P but I don't think I'd have a problem. As long as it's freshly washed is all

I don't remember the details for each time. Once a friend was spending a couple of days and had forgotten to pack them. Another was we had had a party and he got too drunk to drive. He stayed the night and then decided to spend the next day with us. He didn't have any fresh clothes so I lent him a fresh set of undies and a shirt.

I haven't lent anyone socks because I have small feet and they wouldn't fit.


How do I know he returned them clean? First. I trust him. He's a good friend. Second. They looked laundered and folded neatly. Can I prove it 100%? No. But I trust my friends until they give me a reason not to.

I suppose I could loan someone (or wear someone's) boxers, but briefs or boxerbriefs I'm not so sure.

I've borrowed my friends underwear before, when i forgot mine on a trip. They were briefs. Kind of a turn on, if u ask me.

As for lending, I have to the same friend. He stayed the night and forgot to bring a pair.

The only item of clothing I have ever borrowed, is a jacket and that was to dress me up so I would be allowed pass a door bitch at a club.
