So... he recently accepted a job that offered him a 30% raise from his old job. This job was about 2000 miles away from where he was. I flew down there to Paradise (aka Fort Bottomdale) and helped him drive across country to the new location.

We decided to make this a road trip so would take 5 days to drive and make stops along the way to tour. For example, one of the locations we stopped at was New Orleans. What a fabulous city! We really enjoyed all the festivities and the food. We will make time to go back there at some point.

When our road trip was over, we hugged each other and almost cried. We both realized how much we enjoyed each other's company, how much we missed doing things together. But in the end, I had to fly back here to the midwest.

Over a series of phone conversations, we have decided to get back together. Since he has already started working in the new company, it will look really bad if he just gets up and leave them. So, it will be 6 months or so. But he will for sure move back here. He said he will start looking for a job back here and I said eff that when the time comes just move back here and help me with my business.

In other words, at this point EFF the student housing idea. I'm going to have the house renovated to make it our own castle.

In other other words, hey y'all, we are going to restart our lives in a college town! Since we will be living just a mile from the main campus, we're gonna attend the various fun stuff that students do.

I'm gonna buy the properties surrounding this one and incorporate them into one so I have the space to do my various hobbies and he can have his various hobbies. Knock down the house next door and put a pool there. Etc. Since I have 2 big dogs and he has 2 corgis, will have enough space for the dogs to run around in.

OMG, I'm so ecstatic he's coming back. All other priorities are secondary.

PS - soon I will have to break it to Mr. Hand that his services won't be needed anymore :rotflmao:

Nah, we solidified our separation. He has moved back to paradise. And I have a new boyfriend.
