Hello, Paul. (*8*). I hope you are having a lovely day of rest today. Perhaps you might nod off for a while! ;). I am busy getting stuff done before I, hopefully, have a new washing machine delivered and installed tomorrow.

You've hit the nail on the head, Paul! If they do turn up, I bet they will say it can't be installed or something! I mean to be without a washing machine is unthinkable.
But I do worry about things like that a lot. I think I will picture a large area of clear blue water on a calm Summers day. That will help reduce the panic!
You can always come and give me a helping hand. You seem very good at getting things sorted out;)

There's nothing to a washing machine. It'll just slot in where the old one came out and be hooked up to cold water, electricity and the drain. A five minute job!

Who are you having it from?

Argos. I tried to shop locally, but they only had one machine, which would have been much too big - the drum- and a quite hefty price. I had to try elsewhere, and it seemed as good as any.
Thank you for your helpful words. They have helped, for I shall have a short rest. There's nothing else I can do today. But I will have some fun on here and over on my railway forum.;)

Well Argos is owned by Sainsbury's now, so they should be alright.

I'd probably have gone to John Lewis though. Their after-sales care is the best. I've had a TV, a microwave and a dehumidifier from them in the last year, all problem-free.

That's good to know. I'll try John Lewis when I need a new microwave cooker. I'm not sure if I will ever need a dehumidifier, the air seems dry enough!
But I could do with something to get the scale out of the water. Hull and the East Riding is very bad for hard and scaley water.

In which case get some limescale tablets to protect your new washing machine. I use these:

Hello, Paul. (*8*). I hope you have been having a great day. I presume you will soon be going out for a drink or two;)
You were right about the new washing machine. It's just that I always seem to get my knickers in a twist over things like that!
And I got some tablets, and hopefully they will help with the hard water.

Hello, Paul. (*8*). I hope you have had a really great weekend. I know you were going to see your Mum today, and I hope she was in the best of health. I had an afternoon cycle ride today.
