We likely all have products that we love...along with those that pissed us off.

So in the spirit of sharing positive recs....I will start.

We had to replace our built in BBQ this year.

We went with a Broil King because it fit our enclosure the best. And it has been the best BBQ we've had. My partner LOVES it. It comes to temp, holds temp and perfectly cooks everything.

So what are your recommendations for anything?

Our Miele dishwasher is 10+ years old and works perfectly, as do our Sub-Zero refrigerator-freezer, Wolf Range and Frigidaire Washer and Dryer. Never been any maintenance issues. We recently purchased a Miele vacuum cleaner, which I've never used, but my partner has and raves about. We have a Breville toaster which replaced a Braun that gave out after 20 years. The Braun was perfect, the Breville--which has fancy lights and a "bit more" button--burns the toast. I have a cheap (!!!) Capresso coffee maker which works perfectly and use the ubiquitous stove top Bialetti Moka for espresso. (I wouldn't want the bother of the professional-looking $$$$ machines even if I wanted to look at one on my kitchen counter, which I don't.) And my Dyson hair dryer is the best ever--works as good as it looks and sounds.

A Neumann microphone is terrifyingly expensive but if you need that sort of thing, it is not expenditure, it is investment.

It will never go wrong and it will never need updating or replacing, for once you have the absolute best, there is nothing to upgrade to.

Egglife wraps. If you’re doing a low carb keto diet they’re the perfect substitute for bread or flour tortillas. I actually think they are better than flour tortillas. They stay soft and have a nice flavor.

Seen these at our local ShopRite. I wanna try them.

Where are they stocked?
The local store is being remodeled. They pushed about 30 feet of each back corner out 20~ feet and the entire front of the store out almost 30 feet. And crazy stuff like jack hammering the floor up to move refrigerant lines. So far all the frozen stuff is in the same place. Beer has moved to the other side of the store. Sandwich meats and cheese, that cooler now faces the deli. It's a mess. I use to know where everything was in that store.

That should be in the getting older thread. You know you’re going older when you’re pissed that they rearrange your favorite store 😂

I got them in Target. They’re with the eggs. My Target only has the plain ones but I’ve seen that Walmart and ALDIs has other flavors.

Now I know where to start looking. This crazy store would have them by the tofu and egg roll wrappers.

I don't mind they are remodeling. I do wonder though, this has been going on since late February and if they don't finish by Thanksgiving the screams of frustrated women not being able to find anything will be epic.

^They completely demolished and rebuilt our local ShopRite in less time! It reopened September 1 to local shock; we couldn't believe it was ready so soon!
I haven't been there yet, my travels have been taking me to Lidl.

Could make for a situation that would allow the creation of a truly memorable video that goes viral!

I never have done anything with audio recording, but if doing anything that requires quality recording, than the microphone is critically important. The recording can only be as good as the signal coming out of the microphone.

And, unlike other items, it is a longer lasting investment. There have been so many recording formats (with different hardware) that I can recall that have almost come and gone like the winter snow.

So true. There will be groups in recording studios tonight singing into the same mics that started their working lives taping Frank Sinatra and The Beatles, while the studio has passed through mono, 2 track, 4 track, 8 track, 24 track, 48 track and today, anything-you-want track.

Sore No More; a pain gel that works great for all my chronic pain issues.

O'Keeffe's Working Hands; a cream to keep my hands and feet from drying and cracking. They also have a cream meant for feet. I use to work in a cooler and freezer. This stuff was a life saver. Great for diabetics as well.

Lasko fans with remote; great for when I am in a hot and cold mood.

Do you enjoy the feel of a hard tool in your hand? I love it.
This is my favourite tool, the Footprint wrench, made by craftsmen in Sheffeild.
footprint_wrench.jpg
It's made of some kind of steel that is indestructible. If a stiff nut refuses to turn, hit the fooprint with a hammer. Hit it hard, it will not break, ever.
This tool is not just wonderful for fixing old cars, it is a symbol of our relationship, been hit hard, been hit often, but will never break.

^I like having my hard tool in my hand. I fear there could be a day when it's no longer capable of being hard.
