The hallway was one of foul smells and peeling wall paper, the rug was ripped and pulled all around the edges; each door was identical to the one across from it. I only needed the signal, the one that told me that I was ready to go in.
This was right, I thought, this was the right thing to do, I no longer was the scared boy of before. I readjusted my back pack and looked at the time; John was late, every second that slipped away made me even more anxious. The call had been placed to get as many people out of the apartment as possible during this time, drug dealers…
All of a sudden there it was, the fire alarm went off, I watched from the janitor’s room, slowly as the tenants slowly started to open their doors, just a crack though to see if anybody else was exiting their dingy apartments, a child maybe or a false alarm, they had a lot of those and it was too early in the morning.
Then the smoke came.
Black waves of it, rolling up the staircase indicating the peril below. They screamed and made for the other stairwell, bumping and swearing to each other as they pushed and shoved away from the flames. John had done a fantastic job, now…it was my turn. I didn’t wait to see if anybody else was exiting, I ran up to the door with no number and began to work on the knob, it was locked but it really was no problem to open, latches aren’t used when there is no one inside.
It clicked. I went inside and headed straight for the bedroom, I had been here only once before to score some weed a pretext to see the inside, and switched on the computer, I plugged in my memory stick making quick work of the login screen.
It was called Bio-Mega, a little software that let you see the contents of the system in your own time, without having the computer yourself.
All you had to do was download the little fucker.
I sighed, there was a full length mirror to my right, at 22 I already looked 30-ish, there were dark circles under my eyes, and I had already started graying. I worked out a little, enough to give me some muscle but that was it. I touched my cheek, there was a scar there that was a little paler than me, which is saying a lot, the scar though was a little more than that, it was a symbol of what had happened, of what had started it all.
Slam!
I was propelled across the room and landed on the bed.
Boom!
I felt something huge and heavy over me, heat rolled off of it in waves, what the hell was going on?! A hand, and then an arm enveloped my head, I understood now, I was caught.
“Give me a reason, to not kill you right now.” He whispered, his deep voice made my insides and I think even the bed vibrate, his mouth was so close to my ear that I felt his lips brush against it.
He had left my mouth partially uncovered, his thick fingers filtering my breath with their scent “Now!” he said through clenched teeth. The computer beeped twice, it had downloaded the program, whatever happened here I had to get out!
He too looked at the screen, he swore, I was able to turn my head in his slackened grip, a full grown beard framed his face, my hand at the same time reached down and found the bulge I was looking for, he looked down at me at that moment with a look of realization in his face and I squeezed.
His sapphire eyes lingered in my vision for a split second, I felt his body tense, every muscle, every tendon pulsed to life it seemed, he screamed in agony as I held his manhood in my hands, choking the life out of it. I slipped between his arms and quickly made for the computer and snatched the drive from it, I jumped over his body that wreathed on the floor but he was faster, he grabbed my ankle at the last possible second and held on to me even as I fell to the floor.
I put up my hands to help me break the fall, I felt his powerful arms then turn me around, I was face up looking into his own, he exhaled heavy breaths that warmed my frozen face, I hadn’t noticed before that he was shirtless, he bore an extremely powerful frame, there was no inch of his torso that was not iron made and sculpted. He was a hairy man but it was a perfect light brown symmetry and I couldn’t stop staring.
What scared me the most was that I didn’t know who this was, the execution had been perfect, there were currently three people living here and this fourth individual had been the surprise that had awaited me, who the hell was he?
“Where the hell am I?” I was in danger and what the hell was this man talking about? Something in his eyes made me…easy, he wasn’t even trying to hold me down anymore, he was confused, it wasn’t right.
“Yoshiro’s apartment, but you should know that, you’re here.”
“I…I don’t know who that is, and you don’t look like one of them” Shit, Yoshiro was in charge of delivering to the lower east side of the Los Angeles area, hard drugs but that was it, right?
“Get a shirt on.” I said, maybe he had some answers, or it could just be trouble, either way he had seen my face and I couldn’t leave him here. The command snapped him back to reality making him move as quickly as he could, he limped his way out of the bedroom and into the hallway, and open closet indicated where he had been moments ago.
He was taller than me I stood at five eight, while he at least made six feet, he had light brown hair and a young handsome face. He was light skinned but not quite as pale as me, instantly I felt a pang of want…and jealousy, how could somebody be so damned beautiful? All he had was a t-shirt that clung to his every contour, it threatened to rip open and reveal the magnificence within, but by sheer will or luck it stayed on like a second skin. I tidied the bedroom and ran out the door, he quickly followed suit.
I was supposed to tap the phones and add cameras but the fire department would be here and time had ran out, I would have to come back some other time if the computer didn’t offer any more information.
We left through an emergency door that didn’t ring and jumped the fence of the bricked building, we ran to a parked car a block away and raced away, the red and white lights of the fire trucks illuminated our escape.
PLease rate and let me know if you liked it or not, have a great day and thanks for reading.
