US: College wrestler suspended indefinitely over homophobic tweets about gay footballer Michael Sam

that's awesome. but I just hope he doesnt take out his anger by finding the nearest gay bar and start bashing innocent guys.

well he probably hears lot's of these ideas from right wing talk radio hosts who make millions talking shit and members of the gop congress who get re-elected talking shit lol---so it's not surprising he is DUMB enough to think he can say these things publicly like all the rest of the idiots do.

There are others out there just like him, they just aren't dumb enough to tweet about it in the way he did.

I am torn by this. I am getting tired of political correctness but realize the need for it. Still, if you cannot express your true feelings without being punished for it, I don't know. For example, for years I could not express that I was gay without being punished for it by losing my job or being shunned and also hurting the people I loved. If people cannot express what they are thinking, how do you know who your friends are and who your enemies are? Still there are people who are hurt by this and there are others who would expand on it until it was oppressing.

Another incident in my life was: I would talk to others in the lunch room at work. One woman was there often and I would sometimes tell her my hopes and dreams. Later I noticed that she was dressing very well with her hair made up and her clothes and shoes and all to present herself very well. Later I was called into Human Resources and told I should not talk to her or approach her or I would lose my job. I was floored, I thought that she was a friendly acquaintance. I couldn't imagine what I could have done to hurt her. I wanted to ask her what I had done and apologize or explain, but I could not talk to her. It was a really weird experience. Eventually I realized that she thought that I was interested in her as a boyfriend and that was why she started to dress up and when she mentioned this to other co-workers, they must have set her straight and she was embarrassed, but this was a really difficult experience for me too.

I realize the necessity of political correctness, but it is difficult to draw the line on where it is hurtful and where it is honesty.

As a gay guy , not only "straight" guys stay stupid stuff.

I personally wouldn't waste time reading what this dick has to say anyway.

Already moved on.... Lifes to short

I disagreed with the suspension. Expressing your opinion about someone, no matter how stupid or ignorant it might be, shouldn't get you suspended or fired in a country that values freedom of speech.
