US President Donald Trump?

it seems alot of booing during his speech.

I would make Rosie O'Donnell his vice-president.
Let both of them pull each others hair for entertainment sake.

The booing came from Ron Paul supporters after Trump said that Congressman Paul could never be elected President.

I'm actually open to a President Trump...

Donald Trump has about as much chance as Sarah Palin, actually he has LESS of a chance. He need to stick to reality tv that obviously he has a NBC by the balls since he does keep doing them. They will most likely keep NeNe on til near the end to keep ratings up unless she decides to curse out Donald, lol.

Although I doubt seriously this will ever happen, I am open to having him as president. I'd vote for him. He is somebody that gets things done and demands the same for anyone that works with him. I don't see him spewing out the same rhetoric that all presidents typically do and achieve little in the process. He puts his money where his mouth is and usually with successful results. The big question is, is he as wise about spending taxpayer money as he is his own?

I posted about this over a year ago. It was general consensus here at JUB that it was a joke.

Apparently not.

Just saw Donald on Pier Morgan show talking about how China is the enemy and they are cheats, make inferior products, etc, and how he buys supplies for his companies all over the world and a lot of them are from China. He says he doesn't want to buy from china, then he says BUT we can't compete with them because they manipulate their currency. To me that says, he still winds up buying from China. He is all talk because he realizes he won't get enough $$$ from supporters and he may have to pony up his own money, he will change his tune. You would think with all his business sense and his "name" out there, someone in goverenment would have asked for his advice or appointed him to some financial place in office to use his business sense.

I hope I'm not out of line here, but, as an outsider and from his previous antics and business dealings, it would be very difficult to take him seriously as a president.

It's not out of line. He was just asked how he would handle getting the company back on its feet and he said he has a lot of friends at Wall Street who could help get the country back on its feet (which I thought were some of the main culprits of the financial collapse) and then a few minutes later he started bad mouthing the banks and rightly so about how they take home large profits but refuse to lend money to people. IMO, the banks and Wall Street go hand in hand. It takes more than business sense to run a country, you have to have people skills and most of America don't see him as a people person and I doubt 1% of them outside of celebs have ever stepped foot in any of his places. His "run" if he does, will be good for press but I bet too many skeletons will come out of the closet. The only past presidents he had anything to say in a positive light was Clinton and he still calls GWB the worse president ever (I assume he lost a shitload of money during Bush's run since he didn't own any oil rigs).

Yeah, as a fairly liberal Democrat I'm actually open to a President Trump as well. I saw the Piers Morgan interview too and he came across to me more like a Teddy Roosevelt kind of republican. I would certainly prefer him over Huckabee, Romney or God forbid Palin.

I believe he supported Obama in 2010, so I wouldn't imagine he'd be very popular with the Republicans.

He has backpeddled on Obama lately, so who knows.

It would only take a few campaigns ads detailing his most disasterous business deals to show he's just a publicity-seeking blowhard.

he's a bigger failure of a business man than GWB. every company he's owned has been like perpetually teetering on the edge of bankruptcy.

This is sadly true. He has what I like to the "brown touch" (opposite the Midas touch), everything he touches turns to shit. He has filed for bankruptcy 3 times from my memory.

Just what the GOP rich and powerful. To hell with the middle class.

Not with that bad comb over and mammoth ego he could be President.

Let's see, Trump has filed for bankruptcy twice (one corporate and one personal).

Just what we need as a nation with budgetary problems.

Sure you would, I haven't a doubt in the world you would vote for him.
In 1991, unable to pay a $3.5 billion loan, he declared business bankruptcy. He also came close to filing personal ruin. At the time, his personal debt was estimated to be around $900 million. Due to the bankruptcy, banks and bondholders lost millions. They came to a compromise with Donald Trump. The banks gave him lower interest rates and a longer time frame to repay the debt and Donald Trump gave the investors half the ownership of the Taj Mahal. In mere months the casino was back in business.
Not even a year later, Trump Plaza Hotel folded and Donald had to declare bankruptcy. Again, he worked out a deal where he’d give up 49 percent of the hotel to Citibank and the other lenders and he’d get more time to pay the loan back. It took him two years to repay most of his debt with many sacrifices. He had to give up the Trump Shuttle.

The bankruptcy saga didn’t stop there. In 2004, Donald filed for bankruptcy protection and restructured his debt. He reduced his ownership of Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts to 27 percent and gave bondholders stocks to help lower his debt and then stepped down as CEO. In 2005, things settled down and Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts came out of bankruptcy with a new name, Trump Entertainment Resort Holdings.
Unfortunately the reemergence didn’t last long. On February 17th 2009, Donald Trump filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy with a debt ratio of $50 million in assets to his $500 million in debt. This filing made the third bankruptcy for Trump Enterprises.

You got more sympathy for these corporate assholes then you do for some poor sucker trying to get $506 in welfare and 65 bucks a month food stamps who you don't have a problem with cutting off their big time benefits or changing the bankruptcy laws so the average Joe consumer has one fucking time declaring bankruptcy while leaving the laws in place so a shit head business can file over & over, while stuffing their fucking pockets full of money and hiding it .](*,)
