  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

US President Donald Trump?

That would be the cultural equivolent of your country getting HIV.

I loved it when Trump said that the president who (for no apparent reason) won the Nobel Peace Prize is now involved in more wars than any president in history. Also, he said that no country respects Obama because he's too busy "kissing every other country's ass."

Love him or hate him, Trump cuts to the chase.

Wonders why no one is asking for credentials and resumes and birth certificates for this political newcomer....

Anywho, is he serious? How is he possibly going to win the lower class vote? And the lower class has quardupled in size since the middle class RIPed a few years ago.

Did he START any of these wars? And in what context is he involved? Is he just riding around the world in a jumbo jet firing missles?

Cutting to the chase and talking out of your ass are two completely different things. At least in the real world. ;)

Cuts to the chase of what? Bull shit?

Bill Cosby on Douche Trump

That's what I love about the ornery version of Bill Cosby. He is like "fuck you and the horse you rode in on and oh yeah, fuck your mama as well" and he holds no qualms whatsoever about it... :rotflmao:

Bill Cosby is a wealthy old man that can talk some big shit and have nothing to lose by as a result either...

He ordered the launch of 112 cruise misses at Libya. No other Nobel Prize Winner has ever ordered the death of that many people. Furthermore, each one of those missiles cost $575,000 dollars in tax money, when we're already in massive debt due to corporate welfare and policing the world.

Yes, the other two wars are inherited from W. Bush and yes, Barack Obama does have evidence to support the fact that he was born on American soil. . .so those talking points Trump are using are utter bullshit. He has a point about Libya, though.

Actually, he provided them on his own. Although humorously the first doc he provided wasn't his actual birth certificate, it was analogous to the 'certificate of live birth' that BHO has provided. However when he was called on that, he very quickly produced the real thing, and called on Obama to do the same.

Are you kidding?! Yitzak Rabin, Yassir Arafat and Henry Kissenger have all won the Nobel Peace prize. Obama has a long way to go before he out-ironies Henry Kissenger getting that prize.

Sorry for being anal, I just had to set the record straight on those two points, but back to the matter at hand...while entertaining for a minute, there's no way that Trump can have a chance, I just do not see electing a president that's famous for hosting Celebrity Apprentice. That being said, I'd take him over Palin.

Let's see....I wonder if he will take office, load himself up with wealth at the expense of taxpayers and then somehow declare bankruptcy and come out of it smelling like a rose....so much so he can think of running for president.

Heck, he can even do it a couple of times just like he's done with his own businesses in the past....

Honestly, I think that it is just a publicity stunt to keep his name in the news....that kind of marketing is worth a lot of money
^ Exactly.

He's done this before, although this time he seems a "tad" more serious about it.

But this recent "birther bandwagon" he's jumped on just makes him look as silly as Beck or Limbaugh.

Trump cares about one person, Trump. I personally would never do business with him, he's proven himself to be a dishonest charlatan 10 times over...

Not that that would stop some people for voting for him. There are two concepts in play here that some people are mistaken about....

1) A successful businessman can be a successful president. (Two VERY different things)

2) He's a "TV star" therefore he's better than us and sure to be a good leader.

Thankfully, most of the country is smarter than that.

(I hope)

he's proven himself to be a dishonest charlatan 10 times over...

Growing up with the last name "Trump", he learned to live the name.

Dictionary.com: "trump up, to devise deceitfully or dishonestly, as an accusation; fabricate: Try as they might, they were unable to trump up a convincing case against him."

The Republicans don't want him

He endorsed Obama in 2008.

Almost all of his political contributions have been for Democrats.

But at least he's asking uncomfortable questions, the sort others are scared sh*tless of.

He's doing all of this for publicity..nothing more.

He is the biggest ignoramous of all the candidates, a pure populist, an unfunny joke.

Trump would make a terrible president. A decent dictator, maybe, but a terrible president.

In other times, Trump might not be taken seriously. But with gas approaching $4 a gallon (it was $1.87 a gallon the day Obama was sworn in), unemployment still close to 9%, and the country drowning in debt, many see that Obama is in over his head. They took a risk that failed, but will not go for the untested novelty acts like Obama and Palin next time.
