US War Crimes under Trump.

Hopefully this will be the shortest thread ever, however TrumpCo. continues to commit murders/war crimes every time it bombs a supposed drug craft.

Since Congress has not declared war, but has also not forbidden TrumpCo. from invading Venezuala in an undeclared war in order to secure the oil fields for US companies, it is also complicit in the commitment of war crimes. But then, the US has been funding war crimes in Gaza without remorse or let-up for months and months now and Congress has gone merrily along with this.

Drug mules are not enemy combatants. And if they are, the second strike was a contravention of international and US law.

The whole world is watching although we all know that the US no longer cares.

The Trump administration is lying about these being drug boats, and bombing them to cover up the fact that they're lying, and to provide red meat for their MAGA base, that will believe anything they say. Normally, I don't think we'd even hear about drug boats. If you suspect a craft of carrying drugs or other contraband, you stop and seize the boat, and present the evidence in court. Or if nothing is found, the craft and its crew are released. But now the boats are destroyed and people aboard are killed to destroy evidence-- in this case evidence that the Trump administration is lying.

I think the best summary of where we are can be stated by the two big debates of the day.

Debate #1: can it be a war crime if we can't decide whether we're at war? Can we have "fog of war" when we can't decide if we're at war? Why is there a "Department of War" and a "Secretary of War" if we can't decide whether we're at war?

Debate #2: Is it ironic that we're about to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the escape from a monarchy when the Supreme Court seems to have decided that the monarchy was a good thing?

The SC is in the bag for a Christo-nationalist - fascist government.

They also believe that the US would be better as an oligarchy with less of the messiness of representative democracy and federal government programs.

No question.

And so, like the SC's of other failed nations, they will gladly overlook crimes against humanity.
