It's 106 miles to Chicago - we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. (!)

So our map shows a bunch of highly-crafted films that have Canada pretending to be the States instead of putting the same talent into our own stories. Sad.

People have contributed enough money for a statue in my city of the title character of my state's movie on that map. I've never seen the movie. ("The Wizard of Oz" was written in my state - the book, not the movie)

Is that a list you made up?Because its strictly ones opinion there are many more movies that represent states then shown. Frankly some of those are crap.
For instance in MA you have "What about Bob?" or the Departed and totally leave off "JAWS".
True Grit, as Arkansas? True the murder happened there but the film was shot in the Indian territories (Northwest of TX) not in Arkansas.

I think what the OP means to say is where the movies are supposed to take place, not where they are actually filmed.

I suppose "Remember the Titians" is pretty solid to be known for. At least it's not Brokeback Mountain.

I didnt made this map.I found this map on a blog.

Each states represents where the movie takes place.
