The States also sent like 600 athletes...twice as much as every other country. If they aren't winning something is very wrong.

I was searching around to see if there was an official listing of number of athletes each country sent to Vancouver, to do some comparing...I couldn't find one. I'm not sure where you got your figure of "like 600" from USA.

But according to Team - USA there were 216 athletes sent.

and according to Team - Canada there were 206 athletes sent.

please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Also..Winter Olympic Medals Graph by year showing totals awarded...Germany, Russia (Soviet Union), Norway, Austria, etc have dominated...USA only in past few Winter Olympics has placed near top of total metal standings.

btw...GO TEAM USA! (!)

I was watching some pre-Olympic television program and heard it said that the US was purposely trying to send more athletes and entering events in sports that we didn't contend in, in the past. With the intent of winning more medals.

I used to watch all sorts of sports but now sports are BORING to watch unless they play in nude.

EU! EU! EU!!......The European Union (pop. 491,018,683) has around 25 medals...I'm not doing the math, but whether it's the total number of medals or if it's medals per population they are pretty much are beating our butts. Not that there is anything wrong with that...

.

Germany is supposed to win the most medals in Vancouver

Germany is having a good showing. Same applies to South Korea.

Very interesting.

Go Team USA!
