Hey it is a great day in my little mountain haven. I think I will go for a walk in the woods and feel the crisp cold and hear the crunch of the leaves and the snow under my feet as I walk and wander.

I am working most of the time but some of my work invloves walking in the woods. What a great job I have!

Just got a chance to check into JUB when my shadow left to go to town. Been so busy. Had 2 interviews today and wrote 30 letters and cards which I had to address and send out. My hand is so tired it hurts!

It has been cloudy today but they say the wind is suppsoed to pick up tonight and get up to 50-60 miles per hour and get very cold and we may get some snow flurries.

Give us at least 1 more month of cold weather and then bring on the spring time and the guys in their shorts and t-shirts. I can hardly wait.

Today I woke up to icecickles (sp) on the trees and ice on the deck and ice on the steps but the roads were pretty good driving out to work. The traffic seemed to be flowing and I think it was warming up so this will turn to rain in a few hours. But I am sure they closed the schools. They close them at the drop of a hat these days. Don't want a law suit.

I gave my shadow the day off. yes i can do that every once in awhile so I can get some work done and also play around on the internet a bit and catch up on my porn viewing. And this weather will help by keeping people away today!!! Hooray!!!!

OMG here it is February and it is hot today. Wish I could go to town and watch as all the young studs from the college come out of their dorms with their shorts and their white legs today. I'll bet they are a sight for sore eyes.

Today we are having lots of rain as the big storm front moves across our area.

The really bad shit whet north of us and I feel so bad for all the folks who are now homeless because of all the tornadoes etc. 48 folks died and so many more lost homes etc.

So we are just getting rain on the Ash Wednesday. The beginning of Lent. I got my ashes at 8 AM this morning. Always feels weird to have the ashes on my head and then if I go out people look at me weird untill i realize what they are looking at is the ashes smeared on my head.

OMG my friends I have been so sick for the past week. I don't think I have ever been this sick. The flu which is going around this area caught me and OMG it was not a pretty site.

Chills and fever and more chills and fever. I slept for 3 days which is somehting I never ever do. I take naps in my easy chair but I never crawl into bed under the covers during daylight hours. It is just something i never do but this past week that is where I was.

I finally got a friend to call the doctor who gave me some of those new super bad super strong antibiotics. I am just now feeling better and able to come to work.

So glad it is behind me. Hope you can't get it again.

Has anyone noticed except for me that I have achieved 2009 posts on JUB! I guess that is good for someone like me.

The past 3 days have been very windy around here. Trees blown over and lots of limbs down all over the place but they will have to wait until I am feeling better before I attack them with my chainsaw.

Today is very cold and quite windy.

I am feeling much better now. I hardly ever get sick so this really threw me for the proverbial loop. Damn I was out of it for a few days but the TamaFlu kicked in and saved my sorry ass.

Thanks for all the well wishes and cards and e-mails and thoughts. That helped once I was able to get back on my feet.

At least I wasn't throwing up or shiting my guts out!

Getting a bit warmer this week and we had a day of drizzle yesterday.

Early flowers are poking their heads up out of the frozen ground this last week.

Wow this week really went by quickly. After being sick last week and trying to catch up it just flew by.

I wanted so badly to see the eclispe of the moon last night but it was cloudy here where I live and I didn't see the moon until it was all over and then the clouds drifted off and the sky was clear.

It is cold today and cloudy and a nice winter weather day. I think they may be calling for some rain later today.

I am going to the annual library book sale at the mall tonight. I love to buy all my books for the year at this semi-annual event. Great buys on mysteries and novels. Also very crowded. You have to sort of shove your way around which I hate as I hate crowds but......

I saw Taj Mahal the other night at ASU and he was AWESOME. Amazing and so great. Love him. His opening act was also very good. the Carolina Chocolate Drops. Check out their Myspace Music page. They have so much energy and are really good.

So hope you all are doing well. I am back to by old self I think. Boy I was really trhown for a loop there for a few days. That shit was bad.

So what do you think of the race for the Presidnet so far. Are you a Hilary or Obama fan or maybe even a McCain fan. I just hope you aren't a Romney or Huckabee fan.

And yes I am working but as I love my job it is not a problem. I have actually gotten so much done today without the distraction of the phones ringing.

I have had time to play around on JUB and to check out a few of my favorite gay orientated blogs of which there are now hundreds and thousands. OMG so many blogs and so little time. It is great what other guys post and how they can post photos etc. I haven't gotten that far yet but maybe someday with a bit of help and coaxing I can do it.

It was a full moon last night or just past the full stage. Then this morning we had the most incredible clouds rolling around the valley and rolling over the hills and then receeding and then coming back again. Then we had rain and then we had sun and then we had clouds. Folks are still skiing for a few more weeks.

I think it is time to stretch my bones and head out into the woods to see what I can see.

Yes I went to church today and the sermon was actually not half bad for our priest who is usually so freaking boring I almost fall asleep or keep myself awake by thinking about hot guys I have seen this past week. Well if God is all powerful she knows my thoughts anyway so what the hell.....

Walked in the woods yesterday and saw lots of deer tracks and what I thought might be claw marks on a few trees from bears but I am not sure. It was so peaceful and so quiet out there.

Today I am going in town to see a movie with a friend and then have dinner out somewhere. The choices are not that great in Boone but we will find something I am sure.

Yes we are getting quite a rain today and they say after noon it should stop and then a cold artic air blast will turn the wind around and freeze us out tonight with temps around 17 and snow. Maybe 5-6 inches. We shall see.

I saw There will be Blood on Sunday night and then ate at a Thai restaurant. The movie was an incredible character study but all of the characters had no redeemeing values at all and left me feeling empty at the end. Daniel Day Lewis was amazing. The cinematography was amazing. The music was weird. Overall a great movie in so many ways but still I am not sure if I liked it or not.

I got an e-mail from a guy who is still reading my story My Best Friend. Amazing that folks still find it and read it. It felt so good to write it and such a release and I met so many wonderful guys though the story.

What a difference a day can make. Rain and warm yesterday and then by evening the wind picked up and the temperature started to drop and then by 9 PM we had snow flurries which them left us about 2-3 inches down here in our valley with much more up on top.

It is very very very cold and windy today. The roads are icy and slushy and messy and the trucks are out plowing the ropads and salting or slagging them. Good day to stay inside and play on my computer and get some work done. LOL

It is neat to watch the wind blow the powdery snow everywhere and all is white and wintery.

Well we are having more winter weather today but it is beautiful but cold today. Still windy and lots of snow blowing everywhere. The raods are for the most part clear.

I have lots of work to do today but will also find some time to surf the net and see what there is to see.

Sorry I have been out of touch. Lots going on in my life and job and weather wise around here.

Lots and lots of rain yesterday with some minor flooding. Lots of minor clean up going on today.

I did have a great weekend last weekend in Asheville. I love that city. So much to do and so many restaurants to go to and stuff to see. Fun with my friends.

I am VERY horney today! I mean really horny and not sure why as I haven't even been on the net until just now. I need to go home and jerk off and let my orgasm shoot!

So what are you doing on this Sunday morning the first day of Day light savings time here in Eastern USA. I always hate this day loosing an hour of sleep. I feel all wacked out for a few days while my body adjusts to the new time and the new light patterns.

But I have my coffee and I am OK for now.

Not sure what I will be doing today. I know I will read the Sunday paper.

So lets see yesterday was a blur with a big meeting in the AM. very improtant meeting and I did well. Hooray for me and hooray for my fellow co-workers! We all got kudos.

Then to a funeral for an 82 year old lady who died on friday. one of my co-workers moms.

She had a good life and had 3 kids, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and had been married for 62 years. her husband relaly misses her. An old moodshiner and a great guy!

Today has been sunny and chilly but a bit warmer.
