It has been raining all day long and a bit chilly and windy but hey we probably need the rain and I don't have the pwoer to stop it or tell it to stop so what the heck I say. Sit back and enjoy it and let it rain.

Weather men and women are great people and have great jobs. If they are right it is OK and if they are wrong no one fires them.

The leaves are mostly fallen from the trees around here. Last weekend was the peak weekend for the leaves I think. The colors were wonderful this year. Now the forest floor is covered with crunchy leaves. I love to walk through them and hear the sounds they make as they crunch beneath my feet. They cover the forest floor and protect it and then disolve into the earth again. nature is amazing isn't she?

Well if there were any leaves left on our trees at the beginning of this past weekend they have all blown off by now. Wow did we have some high winds all night long. It was howling and the wind chimes were making their music all night long. It sounded great and was nice to be able to snuggle down in my bed under my goosedown comforter and just be there listening and experiencing it all.

Today the sun is out and it is still windy and they say it will be warm for the next 3 days.

Today is gorgeous and warnm and sunny. We sowed winter wheat in the garden yesterday and then disced it under so hopefully it will start to sprout in a week or so.

The cows are on the hill and I just wish cows ate briars and multiflora roses. They don't so we are fucked with all of them. Goats will eat them but goats are so freaking hard to handle. I was just down in the ahyfield checking things out and chekcing the fence line for any breaks. It was good to get out and be outside on this wonderful beautiful gorgeous fall day.

Going to cut some wood this afternoon and I always love to do that. very satisfying work cutting and splitting and stacking wood for the winter.

Yes my friends and loyal readers of this ongoing weather report blog it turned cold last night. A front is moving through our area and it was as warm as it is going to get today at sunrise. The sun is shining and it is still brrrrr cold. My hands are frozen and it is hard to type this weather report for you but my duty calls and I must let you know my weather. I know you are looking forward to my report.

I was working outside all morning and we were moving this huge freaking bush that was to large for the space it was in to another place where it could grow. We had to attach a chain around the base and cut the roots and lift it out with the tractor bucket and then plant it in its new hole. It was cold outside but....now I am all warm and toasty inside and getting ready for lunch.

Hope I am not boring you but not much is going on except the weather so.....

Ok it is Friday and it is the day most working folks look so forward to as it means the end of their week and the start of their weekend and 2 days of freedom.

I am on the other hand working this weekend although I have a house full of guests from out of town that I will try and entertain and keep happy in between my work and all that it entails.

Today is very very cold. I am not sure the exact temperature but the water in my dogs bowl outside on my deck was frozen this AM so that will tell you something. It was in the 20's last night I believe. But the sun is shining and it looks to be a gorgeous day.

Hey guys I am so sorry I have not been around for the past few days. Busy busy busy and even busier and no time for anything except to be busy. And I am going out of town in an hour so I won't be around for a few more days.

Monday we had rain all day long. I mean it rained and rained and it was a good steady rain which was really good for the ground. Replenish the water table.

A bit windy yesterday with some sun and rain mixed with the clouds.

What an election day we had on Tuesday. I am so glad the Democrats won so many elections. not hopefully they can do something although Bush and his friends will now blame it all on them no matter what happens. Why can't they all just work together as a team? not that would be anovel idea.

What a gorgeous fall day it is today. Nice and warm and sunny.

On saturday we had this huge mother of a storm. How it rained and rained and rained. Wow! It really rained. Did I mention that it rained?????
