Oh yes. I had a series of big meetings the past few days that could have determined my future and they went well as far as I could tell so I am stuill here for another few months. HA! Really the bosses love what i do and what our staff does so it was all good but one never knows and I get nervous preparing my speech and list of all that we have done and will do. Today it is cloudy and cool but not as cold as it should be. The snow is all metling up on the slopes and that means disaster for the skiiers and for the local economy. Bad news guys. Really bad news. Is is just a weather cycle or is it global warming? Who knows. I just know I would like it to be cold so they can make snow and the skiiers can come and spend lots and lots of money in our area.

It is Wed and another nice day. Cold last night but a bit to warm today. Sunny and bright.

I am working this weekend so....I will be around.

The day is waking up to a brilliant sun and suhshine. It is supposed to rain later so we need to enjoy it while we can. It was nice and frosty cold last night and this morning was just like i like it. Frost everywhere. I am working hard or hardly working as some might say!!!

I have done 3 end of the year reports so far this morning which i think is pretty damn good.

Last night we had what is called the Wolf Moon. It was huge and it was so damn full. It brightened up everything. I was driving to a friends house for dinner around 6 PM and it was rising over one of the mountains and was so amazing to see.

Then all night long I would get up and watch its progress across the night sky and this morning around 7 AM it was finally setting over the mountain in front of my house.

I imagined the ealry settlers and the native americans who hunted at night by the light of this moon. Or traveled becaseu there was no other light. Amazing to think about.

My dog loves to lie in the light of the moon coming in the sliding galss door in my bedroom.

It was cold this morning and very foggy around 7:30 AM but now the sun is coming up and burning off the fog and it looks to be another seasonably warm day with the possibility of some rain.

Well it is finally Friday and I know that all of you with regular type jobs are so happy that in about 1 hour you can leave work and start your weekend festivities.

The weather picture here is very dismall for those who make their money off the ski industry. The slopes are mostly mud right now although the temperature is falling as I write this and we had a few snow flurries this AM

Why couldn't we get some of the snow they are having in Colorado? Now wouldn't that be nice to share??? But the weather just doesn't work like that does it.

Oh well just got to keep on keeping on.

Yes my friends it is finally snowing and it is cold and the wind is blowing and most importantly it is snowing like crazy. At least right now. I was dancing in it awhile ago and my dog bless his heart was trying to catch it on his tongue. He loves to lick the snow.

So sorry I haven't blogged in a few days. My fault but I have so busy with work and life that I really have not had the literal time to even check my e-mail and JUB was down on my list.

Lots of meetings and reports to do and contend with. Such is life. I am at least so lucky in that I LOVE my job. I can't hardly imagine doing anything else with my life. Sure their are days when I pull what little hair I have out of my scalp but those are few and far between and the good days so far outweigh the bad ones.

I like to say the the worst day here is better than the best day somewhere else!!!

The week has been cold and they have made lots of snow so that is great as this weekend is the MLK holiday weekend and the ski slopes need a good weekend to balance out the bad ones they have had.

I will be out of pocket next week for about a week so prepare yourself for no weather reports and inane musings from this old man. I hope you can last a week without my stupid comments about life in the mountains.

It is pretty sunny right now but it should be a good day for skiing. Not that I would know as I have never been skiing in my life nor do I think I want to try. It is fun to watrch but.....not my thing if you know what I mean.

OK I had better get back into the fray., I have lots of things to do.

I am sure you are all waiting to see what our weather is in this part of the world.

It is snowing mixed with sleet. It was supposed to have started around 4 AM this morning but didn't really start until 6 AM and not a whole lot was coming down untill about 10 AM.

It has let up already and we don't know what it will do. I think the mountains have split the storm to the north and south of us but will just have to wait and see.
