I hope that it is a good one for you. If you have a relationship with your mother that allows you to call her today, or visit her today please do so.

My mom died when I was 6 years old so I never really got to know her and not a day goes by when I don't somehow imagine what my life would have been like if she had lived. Can't bring her back and can't change what happened but for a brief moment each day I do wonder.

Today is church for me in a few hours and then another whole day of working outside and getting really really dirty I hope. I want to plant some flower boxes I have for the deck and weed my herb garden and finish the other beds I have today.

I usually only write one blog entry per day but today was really incredibly special. Of course some of you may think I am nuts but here goes.

I went to church this AM and the sermon was good. All about change in our lives and how we need to be ready for change and accept change as inevitable. It is what it is. Go with the flow and make some lemonade so to speak. Not the preachers words but mine.

I then got gas and filled up my truck. $24.25!!!!

Then back here to check in with JUB and write a few pages in my story and then home to finish my outside work.

It was glorious as I put on my shorts with no underwear and sandals and shirt. A nice warm breeze was blowing and the sun was hot as I started to pull weeds in one of my raised beds. I live off the road and I can hear anyone coming up my driveway and I kept thinking about going naked. Completely nude. I kept thinking about it and so what the hell I did it. Off came my shirt and then my shorts and then my shoes and then on went my baseball hat to complete the picture. I wish you could have seen my sorry ass out there in the sun completely naked pulling weeds. hoeing and carting the weeds to throw over the fence into the pasture.

If my employees or bosses could have seen me they wouldn't have believed it!

There was that element of would I get caught that made it all kind of exciting. I hadn't done that since I was well lets say it had been quite a long time.

It felt so good. It really did to be kneeling in the dirt digging with my fingers and hands and planting flowers all naked as a jay bird.

When I would lean over the wind would whistle through my ass and it would feel so cool and breezy. LOL!

I planted 3 flower boxes with Marigolds, Zinnias and something else whose name escapes me at the moment.

In the herb garden I planted more Marigolds, Zinnias, Portulaca (sp) (one of my very favorites)

I pulled out mint which smelled so good when the fragrance of the roots hit the air. It can spread so quickly and I made the mistake of planting just a little bit. Well mint knows no boundaries so I am always pulling mint and will be for as long as I live in the house.

Anyway I watered the plants and cleaned up all my stuff and then decided to be really daring so I put on my shoes and went for a walk in the woods near my house still naked. It was so freeing and wonderful to just be by myself with no clothes on out in the woods.

Anyway I just wanted to tell you all about it and that was my day. Hope yours was a good one.

For those of you who shave their faces everyday have you ever just thought about the process and the magic of your facial hairs re-growing each and every day and then you get up and take your shower or whatever and put your shaving cream or gel on and shave the whiskers off again. Over and over each day forever or at least until you die and then they say the hair keeps growing if you are not cremated that is!

Just a thought for the day. LOL!

The other night when I went out for dinner I was sitting at my table reading my book but I was also watching this big table about 12 people I think talk and interact. They were in college and some parents were there and it was graduation weekend and they were in high spirits. They were laughing and smiling and touching each other in a freindly sort of way. There were a few very hot guys so I was watching them and having short fantasies about them as I read and ate my delicious dinner.

One of the guys was wearing a white t-shirt and at one point he raised his arm and from the angle he was sitting at I could see right into the sleeve of the arm hole into his pit. He had a full pit of dark black hair and he had nice arms and arm muscles. Just that brief look was so intoxicating for me and I immediately became hard. It was so amazing and such a riot as well.

He had no idea that this older gentleman sitting behind him reading his book actually had a hard on thinking about striping him naked and sucking on his cock. LOL!

I can't believe I had the nerve to strip naked yesterday afternoon and work in my garden and walk in our woods. I am not that adventuresome at this stage in my life anymore so that was amazing for me to do that.

Today as iIcame up out of my dream world I could hear birds singing outside my open screen door in my bedroom.

One bird would sing this gorgeous song. I wish I could like a birder person repeat it for you but I have no ability to capture their songs on paper or my head. I am sure a real birder could tell if the bird was male or female as well but to me it is just another bird singing a beautiful song.

So this one bird sings and then a few seconds later another bird answers and then another and another. Who could tell if it was the same bird or just two birds?

Anyway that is my morning so far and I have enjoyed it.

Hey its really early and here I am entering in my blog. Is it an obsession perhap? Good or bad? Who knows.

I have a very early morning meeting in town this AM so I am up and showered and shaved and ready to go way to early. That has always been my problem. Early and almost never late.

I will take a book and sit in a parking lot and read in order to be early for an appointment, a movie or whatever. Weird you say? Compulsive you say? Probably but hey it is me and who does it hurt?

So in a minute I will get my large cup of coffee and travel the 10 miles into town and have my meeting, go to the post office and do a few errands and then back to the relative safety of my office.

Yesterday was a fun day. Busy and fun at the same time and also very sunny with a few scattered clouds and rain thrown in for good measure.

I had an appointment with an orthopedic specialist about my hip surgery. The guy people recommended to me after the other one that was recommended to me retired on me last year.

So I am in the waiting room waiting and the receptionist calls me over and says well the Dr. doesn't do hips anymore he only does hands now that the new Dr. is here and even I didn't know and I am so sorry blaa blaaa blaa! She was embarrassed and very nice.

How funny is that! LOL!

So what could I do but make an appointment for today with the new DR. who was of course off yesterday while I was there.

So I took the only appointment they had for this morning but I had all this stuff going on here that I had to shift around and blaa blaa blaa.

So I had better get cracking.

Had to get a head start on the day today and get here early as I am leaving at noon to spend the day in Asheville probably coming back later tonight.

I am off this weekend so.....I am not sure how often I will be checking in or may have the time to check in.

I will be working outside if the weather cooperates. We shall see.

The other day at the card store in the mall I bought a card to send to my niece who is a graduating senior.

These two employees were rearranging some shelves and this one guy was squatting down on the floor with his back to me. He had on shorts and his yellow boxers were sticking up about two inches above his shorts as is the fashion. He had a t-shirt on that was pulling up on his back exposing about 6-8 inches of wonderfully smooth tanned skin and you could see 3 inches of his butt crack. I was also looking at those bumps your spine makes when you bend over that run up your back. I wanted to kiss each and every one of them. LOL!

I just stood there in awe and amazement looking at it before I realized I was staring. No one saw me but it was amazing. I pretended to look at cards while I imagined what this young man, I assume he was a college student, looked like without any clothes. You do not see many young men working in a card store I thought.

So then he disappeared in the back of the store and I went to pay at the check out line. They have two registers but only one girl was helping another woman out so I stood there patiently while they went about their business. I wasn't in a hurry.

The cute guy comes almost running out of the back and opens the other register and takes my card to ring it up. His arms and forearms are covered with huge veins running up and down and his arm muscles are nice. His hands are covered with the veins as well. Some guys just have them and others don't. Just a normal guy but it was intoxicating never the less. When he lifted his arm at one point I could see into the arm hole of his t-shirt to view his brown pit hair which also was incredible.

He had these wonderful green eyes, short brown hair that was sort of what I call punked up and a great all white teeth smile. He looked me in the eyes when he talked to me butand the conversation was a blur because I was just staring at him.

He then took the register receipt and wrote on it Thanks Stephen and I took it. Did he do that for all his customers or was that meant for me? Our fingers brushed each other when he handed me the register receipt and I felt electric shocks but then it was over and he was on to the next person in line and I was out the door.

It was weird but it did provide a wonderful fantasy jerk off session later for me and will be a the basis of a short story I will write later as well. It is those little every day occurrences that happen that are the stuff of fantasy and story.

Today was great. Lazy sort of day. Went and got the paper early and then read it and my cup of coffee while waiting to drive to church.

Church was good. Lots of good folks and food today!

Rain today and clouds and fog and mist and it was gorgeous.

Worked most of the day yesterday outside on my flower beds and vegetable garden.

It was great to have the weekend off to just be myself with myself.

Yesterday afternoon I went to a remarkable ceremony.

An ordination in the Episcopal Church but not just any ordination. I have been to a few before but this was different in that the woman being ordained as a priest was openly gay and her partner was there as well and a loving family and friends and two Bishops and many many priests.

A great choir and a good sermon. A good woman to be a priest.

It was a lovely service and the service is for me beautiful. It was beautiful to be able to hold up a sister in Christ who happens to be gay as well and also her partner was held up just as spouse would have been. It was just a person being ordained.

So that was my evening and I thought I would share.

This morning getting up at 6 AM to look out my windows I could see the fog swirling around below me in the valley. I am about half way up in the valley so often I am above the fog and it is magical as it swirls and plays around the trees and the buildings in the valley.

It comes off the streams and creeks and rises in the air to continue its playful journey around the valley finally to disperse in the heat of the sun as it rises.

Today on my way to work I spied trash on the side of the road. McDonald's bags and napkins and other assorted garbage. The fact that the morons who threw it out their car window onto our beautiful road is just amazing to me. How can people just not take the shit home with them and toss it in their garbage can. They are morns pure and simple and they make me soooooo MAD!

I was at the mall yesterday buying a birthday card and on my way out to my truck i saw a young boy about 10 get out of his car and take a plastic soda bottle and throw it in the bushes in the parking lot. Then he went back to his car and got some more.

I yelled over, "Son please don't throw that trash out there." He shrugged his shoulders and threw it anyway and got back in his car.

Trash I hate it GRRRRRRRRRRR

Supposed to rain today but who knows.

Our neighbor had a mother bear and her two cubs in her yard last night. They love bird seed and think it is like a big treat for them. They also learn behavior so the moms teach their cubs where to find the best treats or Bear Snicker bars as I like to call them! LOL!

Had a nice dinner out last night in town and read my paper while eating. Slow night at the restaurant. An obviously straight couple came in and as usual I undressed the male part of the couple. He was young in his early 20's I supposed was very tan and had long blond dreadlocks. He had very cute eyes and his smile was all teeth and he had a wonderful laugh. I wasn't close enough to hear what they were saying but they were in love and touched each others hands across the table lots of times and laughed with each other.

He was wearing shorts and his long thin legs again were as tanned as his arms and face and his legs were really hairy with all this incredibly blond curly hair. His toes were long and his feet arched inside his sandals.

Nice arms with veins and good biceps. Wearing a white t-shirt that showed off his physique and nipples.

Very nice package if I must say so myself. Towards the end of the dinner I looked over and saw that she had her toes and was running them up and down one of his legs while laughing and talking and touching his arm. Up and down the leg to the top of his shorts and back down. He was smiling as was she.

When he stood up to pay the bill he obviously had a hard on and his shorts were sticking out. I mean it was so obvious. Those shorts were really tented out! He started to laugh and he looked around. He looked right at me shrugged his shoulders and smiled and then turned away and I saw him adjust his cock so it was not so visible. They both thought it was a riot and were giggling.

It was quite cute. Wish I cold have seen more but that was the thing my dreams and fantasies are made of!

I lay in my bed just waitng for the thuder clap and then counting the seconds till the lightning struck.

A friend's mom died last evening. She had been ill for awhile and her quality of life was zero. Shit! So it was a good thing she died but it is still hard for my friend. Maybe because my mother died when I was young I just don't have the same feelings about the whole death and funeral thing. I don't really understand it all. But I am trying to be as supportive as possible in my own way.

Early morning heavy fog and sort of wet drizzle that is not really rain but not totally fog.

Trying to help my friend deal with the death of his mother. Not knowing what to say but being there just in case I figure it out.

It is trite I know but her quality of life was pure shit so it is a blessing. Everyone likes to say that. It's a blessing but I guess in the case it really is a blessing.

Today is supposed to be a nice day so I think I will try and work outside as much as possible.

Funeral all day yesterday. Got up at 5 AM drove to Raleigh.

Lots of tears. Nice service.

I couldn't go into see the body. Just can't do that. To much for me. Lucky it was closed during the service so that wasn't a problem.

Lots of thoughts on death and dying today and I am sort of in a funky mood. Not really depressed but not as up as I usually am.

Last night they said we might get a frost. It was nice and cool and great sleeping weather with the sliding glass door wide open but we did not get a freeze.

Today it may get up in the 70's or even 80's although I doubt that.

My friend is still grieving for his mother. He seems to be falling apart more yesterday and today. Not sure what to do or say. He knows I am there but at the same time I can never know what he is going through inside with this death.

More bear sightings on the mountain. Mother and 2 yearlings I heard looking for bird feeders.

I am not very good at parties per say. I am just not a small talk kind of person but last night I actually did OK for most of the night and tried not to say something stupid.

I just don't get a lot of the conversation and of course when the talk turns to American Idol and I say what is that people really look at me like I am from another planet. The party broke up early just so people could go home to see American Idol whatever that is.

The food was good and I stuck to water and then it was time to go and I was so HAPPY. What an introvert I am.

This morning there were three deer in the pasture outside my deck. I watched them watching me for the longest time then I got bored and went inside and left them to their morning buisness whatever that was.

Last night was so wonderful. Cool and wonderful sleeping weather. Snuggling deep under my covers lost in dream land waking this AM to birds singing and fog swirling all around the valley.

The three deer who have been up and down on mornings lately were there again this AM on their way back to the woods from drinking in the creek.

Ever watchful they can stand so still maybe only flicking their big noise catching ears this way and that as they are ever alert for danger.

Nature is incredible.

I was sad to hear that Ben Harper cancelled his Zooma Tour yesterday. Some friends already had their tickets and now must be satisfied with refunds!

I am going to work outside and plant peppers and tomatoes today and weed eat around the house if it does not rain. They are calling for 30% chance so that sounds pretty good.

We let our neighbors cows run in one of our unused pastures and they are like in heaven as the grass is really grown up. It will interesting to see how long it takes them to eat it down.

I watched the movie Wilde last night and it was extremely good. Also depressing to see what society has done to gay people throughout history. All for what? I cannot understand why people care so much about the penis. Why are they so fucking protective of a penis?

And the English society of the time was so so so weird.

Enough said about that.
