My doctor has had to put off my surgery for personal reasons until Dec 1 so please put my recovery on hold until then. :help: :help: :help:

Thanks for all your e-mails and notes they have really lifted my spirits. ..| ..| ..| ..|

Lots of rain all day today which we have needed.

I got an award today so that was nice. :=D: :=D:

Life is good even if I won't have my new hip tomorrow as planned. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

peace to all

it is not. I am not sure how I feel. One saide says OK it is a good thing and the other says why me????

I really want to get this thing done and over with so I can get back with my life and start dancing again. Not necessarily literally but at least in my mind. I want to be able to walk in the woods without pain and sit without pain and do all those things we so often take for granted. The little things that make up eveyday life.

But my life is so blessed in so many ways already so who am I to complain about one little thing? Is that arrrogance to think about me and complain when so many in the world need so much.? What is a week I think?

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers and notes and comments. I have felt them and needed them and will continue to need them as I go through this next wek and into next week.

Spell check is back off. It was on then off then on and then off. What gives!!!!

peace today and always

Yesterday we had fabulous snow all day long. It didn't amount to much where I live but up on top of the mountain it's white and they had 3-6 inches of the white stuff. It was heavy and lots of folks lost power for part of the day yesterday but we had it all day long. Thank goodness.

I am going to see Harry Potter today!!!!! I can't wait till this afternoon.

I worked all day yesterday to get ready to go out for my surgery. I was amazed at how much stuff I got done that I hadn't done before when I thought I was going in yesterday. Good thing it was postphoned I guess!

I hope if you are traveling today for Thanksgiving with family and friends that you will be very careful and safe and I wish all the best for you and your family and friends. It can be a hard time for many people as they try and live up to their fmailies expectations etc.

Just remember we are not all members of the Walton family and that life is just a dream life and not a real life. Kind of like my story about Timmy and Tom. I wish it could be real but am afraid that we will never be able to achieve it. But at least we can hope and strive for that.

Spell check was working but now it is off again. Not sure why it keeps going on and off and on and off. Frustrating to say the least.

peace to all

Hope you had a good day. Mine was very nice and relaxing.

I had church in the AM and then they have this big pot luck lunch and they provide the turkeys. Lots of great folks and they made a fuss over me because of my delayed surgery. It was nice to be fussed over. Makes one feel all fuzzy inside.

Good sermon as well and a beuatiful day. Sunshine and nice crisp cold fall day.

Then home and some blessed drugs to kill the pain in my hip and a great afternoon nap in my favorite chair overlooking the valley. I watched deer running and playing on the hill in the late afternoon.

I watched a DVD of the comedian Lewis Black last night. He was at Carolina when I was there and it was funny to see him up on stage. He was funny back then but I don't think I would have recognized him at all.

Then I read my book and fell asleep.

Nice day to think about all I am thankful for and all my many blessings that I have in this life. I am truly blessed with relatively good health, a great fantastic job, friends who like me and some who love me, the ability to dream and fantasize and the great and truly wonderful ability to JERK OFF!!! ROTFL!

Are you braving the crowds and going shopping today? Not me! I might go see Walk the Line this afternoon with some friends.

Love all you guys and gals as well. Peace on this day after Thanksgiving as well as every day.

Beautiful white crystal frost covers the ground and the pastures and the hills sides.

They are blowing snow like crazy up on the ski moutains and folks are skiing, ice skating, sledding and snow boarding.

Not me but they seem to love it. Not my thing. Never has been never will be. I much prefer to remain in the lodge with my cup of coffee or hot chocoolate and a nice book by the fire! LOL! I am reading a Ventian mystery by Donna Leon right now and she is incredible.

Saw the movie Walk the Line yetserday and it was terrific. Really good film about the life of Johnny Cash.

Town was so crowded yesterday with shoppers everywhere. It was a good thing I was only going to the movies, grovery shopping, the Post office and the drug store! The rest were mobbed!

I saw 12 deer all together yesterday in our field. I usually don't see quite that many together at one time. They were running and seemed to be playing but I am sure it probably wasn't play as much as warming up from the cold.

Spell check is back off again!

peace to all

Wonderful Sunday services and a GREAT sermon today. Really funny but to the point of what Advent Season is all about. It is not about commercial Christmas at all. Christmas doesn't even start in the church untill Christmas Eve. This is the season of Advent. The season of waiting. How important it is to know how to wait. So hard but so necessary in this life.

Then back to church this afternoon for Lessons and Carols and not Christmas Carols because we should not be singing them until Christmas Eve. These are Advent Carols which get us ready for this seaosn of Advent.

So as I wait for Christmas and I wait for my surgery either on Tuesday or Thursday we aren't sure which day. I will let you know tomorrow.

Very cloudy today with the clouds swirling and covering the sky with their greyness. Cool and cold and windy.

peace to all as we wait

My surgery went really well and I am really doing well at home. A bit bored and so this trip outside today. My first since Nov 29th! Only 1 hour so I am in a rsuh and just wanted all to know how much I appreciated your thoughts, PM's, e-mails notes etc. They meant so much to me and will continue to spur my speedy recovery.

I didn't even think about jacking off *|* *|* for about 7 days aftetr surgery. Imagine that!!! Must have been all the drugs. Thank God for the morphine pump! But when I did WOW is all I can say. Stand back guys this ones a gusher. :D

Happy Holidays to all and thanks again. I will soon be back in full force with a new chapter!

Peace Tom  (*8*) (*8*)

Sorry I can't stay long but doctors orders have me on a pretty tight leash. I visit him for my two week check up tomorrow and hope all is going as well as it seems to be from my point of view.

I am still on my walker but getting around pretty well. (!)

And i can still jack off which is good! *|* *|* *|*

I will be back shortly I promise with a new chapter in my story and new blog entires. :=D:

peace to you all

Just to keep all you posted about my recovery. I am doing REALLY well. Great visit to the Dr last week.

Thanks for all the e-mails and notes. They have really cheered me up and I appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.

Not much computer time so that is why I have been pretty silent lately.

I will be back very soon and stronger than ever.

Peace to all

It has been 3 weeks since my surgery and I am well on my way to recovery. It feels great to not have any pain in my hip any longer. The surgeon said I had the hip of a 90 year old man!!!

I am driving again and back at work part time for awhile. I still get tired by mid day so it is a good excuse to go home and sit and read or nap or watch a movie.

I have had great caregivers and friends who have brought me books, Cd's, DVd's, food and lots of love and prayers. I could not have done it without them.

And all of you who have sent me e-mails have helped me on my road to recovery. So hats off to you all and thanks so much. :=D:  (!) (*8*) *|* :D  :=D: ..| :D (*8*)

Blessed Christmas
peace and love to you all

Today at Newgrange in Ireland if the sunrise is not obscured by clouds 20 lucky people made their way inside the ancient neolithic passage tomb to wait as the ancients did for the sun to light up the interior of the tomb. This has been going on for 5,000 years give or take a few. Isn't that just awesome! That fact alone has changed the way I look at life and see the world and the ancient peoples.

They have a lottery and over 200,000 put their names in to be chosen to enter the tomb today and for 4 more days. 20 each day for a total of 100 lucky people. From darkness to light. WOW! Blows my feeble mind.

I have been reading and just finished an incredible book. Blood Done Sign My Name by Timothy Tyson. I would highly reccommend this book to anyone who is interested in issues of racial equality and the south. Where were you on May 11, 1970 when a young black man named Henry Marrow was shot, beaten and then shot in the head as he pleaded for his life in the middle of a public street in Oxford North Carolina? The three white men who killed Henry were set free by an all white jury and this is the story of that story.

I was at Chapel Hill not far away attending The University of North Carolina and never heard of this incident. That is sad but not surprising.

Read this book if you get a chance.

Also Star of the Sea by Joseph O'Connor is a great read about the famine in Ireland as it traces the journey of a ship leaving Ireland for America. Great novel with bits of truth and history thrown in as the author weaves his story.

peace my friends and enjoy your day as I will mine

But hey it is winter isn't it and winter should be cold? I of course need to be very mindful of any ice on the ground or sidewalks etc. as I cannot afford to fall in this stage of my recovery. That would not be good at all. #-o

The cold weather is great for our local economy which depends on the 4 local ski resorts for much of our winter income. So bring on the cold weather I say and leave the snow making to the ski slopes. :D

All the kids get out of school today and I am sure they are happy about that. (!)

Saw about 12 deer last evening when I drove to a friends house for dinner and a small party. All different sizes and shapes. Their white tails sticking up in the rear as they run away from the truck and bound across the fields and leap over the fences as if they were not even there.

Hope you day is good. Peace to you all at this time of year and always.

Lots of frost everywhere this AM as I got up and shaved and got dressed. It looked almost like snow but it wasn't. Everywhere it was white and frosty and COLD!

I am still progressing nicely and doing all my exercises and walking as much as possible with my walker and my cane.

I have been thinking a lot about Christmas and what it means to me and I hope that whatever you do and whatever your beliefs you will have a great day and a time maybe with family and friends.

If you are alone please know that we are there with you in our thoughts and prayers.

peace to all

I hope you all have finished your shopping. I say hats off to the internet. It made my shopping possible this season. Amazing what one can do from your dining room table or office computer. You can buy and send gifts around the world and never leave home! I say that is great! :santa:

I wish all of you the very best with your family and your friends and if you are alone please know that we are with you. Peace to all and especially around the world this day and night and always.

Watch over all those who need your help today and always and help us to always see the face of Jesus in all we meet.

peace      (*8*)

Merry Christmas to all!!!!
:santa: :santa: :xmas: :xmas: :elf: :elf:

Hope you all are having a great day.
I got an iPod and it is so coll and am now at my office learning how to use it and download my CD's. Wow it is so freaking cool. *|* (!) *|* (!)

I also got lots of books and movie passes and food and other shit. It was all good.

Nice Christmas Eve service at church last night and then Christmas Day service this morning. I am using my cane instead of my walker for the most part now and that is good.

Anyway. back to my new toy and peace to all

Wow yesterday we had an amazing day here in our little valley. Very high winds most of the day. Snow flurries blowing all day but no accumulation at all. It was really blowing.

Hope you all had a good one and are now looking forward to a great New Year in 2006!

I know its going to be GREAT! :xmas:

It was just 4 weeks ago today they were cutting me open and installing my new bionic hip! I am mostly using my cane now and I have no pain at all in my hip! (!)

Thanks again for all the notes and PM's and e-mails and comments.

peace to you all today and always

Since I have been back to work I have only been working half days and I must say I think that is the most civilized thing I have ever done. Wish we could all just work half days and get paid for the whole day! I seem to get all that I need to do done so what the hell!

Not sure if my idea would catch on with the money hungry bean counters in our society but hey it is a thought.

Nice sunny day today. Warmer yesterday but still cold and as it is winter that is a good thing. Keeps our local economy going with skiers etc.

Hope your day is a good one. I am still downloading lots of my CD's to my iPod. What an incredible invention it is. I am in awe of what it can do and it is so small.

Peace my friends

It is raining today or drizzling and it is wet and warmer outside but that is not a good thing around here because of the skiers who want it to be cold and snowy or at least just cold enough so they can blow snow.

Our economy depends on a good cold ski season so lets hope this rain does not last long. Can't change the weather but we can sure talk about it can't we???

We love to talk about the weather as if we can have a say in what it does. How many times do people pray for this kind of weather or that kind of weather? It is futile but still we do it why is that? And I am as guilty as anyone of it eventhough I know it won't do any good at all.

Hope your week is going well.

Peace

Wow this week seemed to just fly by in no time. Not sure why. Maybe its becasue I am only working half days and get to go home around 1 PM everyday. Seems pretty civilized to me.

I am still loading my CD''s onto my iPod every day. 18 today and about 15 yesterday. And I am no where close to capacity or to finishing my collection. Wow how can they put so many songs on that little thing? And I bought an adapter so I can play it in my truck through the stereo system. Now that is relaly cool!

I maybe 57 years old but am I hip or what??? At least I have a new hip to go along with my hip self. :D ;)

Have a great day today and always
Peace

It is just another day for me but for many it means getting drunk, getting laid, getting sick as a dog, dancing, eating, going to a party blah blah blah.

Being in the hospitality business for the past 30 years or so I hate New Years Eve. It means watching folks get drunk and sick and act stupid around other folks getting drunk, getting sick and acting stupid. They usually treat the staff like crap while acting so stupid.

This is just my opinion of course and many would disagree with me and my point of view but what is it all about? Hey this is my blog so I will say what I want! ;)

Just the last day of the year to me. Tomorrow is the first day of 2006 and mostly what I will worry about is remebering to write 2006 on my checks instead of 2005.

Whatever you do and whatever New Years Eve means to you I hope you are safe (especially if you are having sex and are driving) and happy and it makes you feel good about yourself. For me I will have a nice meal with friends, watch a movie and then go to bed early and sleep well.

peace to you all and thanks for all your support in 2005. Hope to see you all in 2006 and open up my world even more than I have in 2005. Every inch that closet door opens is a miracle as far as I am concerned.
