Well I did survive yesterday and my meeting went well I think. We shall see shortly if I did OK.

Today is another hot day predicted.

Ok guys I had a terrific weekend. I really did. It was so much fun and so relaxing.

I went with some friends to downtown Ashevlle to a restaurant named Carmel's and there was this great jazz band playing outside and we got to eat and watch people and listen to jazz and drink great local beer from the Pisgah Brewery.

Downtown Asheville is a happening place on the weekends.

Well what did you do yesterday?

I had one of those incredibly satisfying and perfect sort of days. I mean I didn't do all that much but it was a very good day.

A church I know is having a big yard sale later this month and that has given me the incentive to clean out some of my old shit. And I have lots of old shit. Shit in boxes that I haven't opened in 10 years or more. So I have been going through it all.

Old cassett tapes that I no longer use. Old videos I never watch. Old books I will never read again. Hundreds of old books I will never read again and if I want to read will be at my local library I am sure. Why have I saved them all these years.

Old clothes I can't wear or won't wear. Old framed prints I don't have room on my walls for. Just tons of shit and stuff.

I am reading the 3rd book in the series by C.J. Sansom. It is called Soverign and it is awesome. A medieval mystery set in the time of Henry VIII and Cromwell and Cramner and the dissolution of the monasteries. So much destruction and so much cruelty in the name of God and religion. Such a waste and how can men be so damned cruel to other men and women? It is terrifying to think about it.

Church was booooooring today. Really boooooring sermon by this old old old man who should have retired so many years ago. Why can't the old priestr just retire and movfe on?

Anything exciting???

I worked and then took the day off. I went exploring in the woods and got stung by 2-3 yellow jakets on my knee. It hurt pretty bad but at least I got away from the main swarm who were coming out of the ground looking for me and they were not friendly. Damn those suckers are mean!
