Apparently, it's because they're fucking the vegetables.

^
actually no, it has to do with not eating meat.

I have seen this discussion posted on every message board that I visit.

It is not a commercial designed to take seriously. It it supposed to be humorous.

Beautiful women having sex with a vegetable ?

Sorry, babe, I saw the commercial, and there wasn't any eating going on. They were rubbing those veggies around their naughty bits.

Veggie-sexuals.

I would rather do that with a nice steak. Or better yet a cake...Oh wait I have done that with a cake.

The ladies of The View discuss the banned ad and Whoopie demonstrates the women from the ad.

I'm sorry but these women are so stupid...every one of them.

Seriously, PETA knew that it was not going to get approved. They got tons of PR without needing to pay to air the commercial. Look at PETA's web site and you can find a list of banned ads. They are getting people to talk.

lol...please read the rest of my previous post.

The entire thing about better sex is opinion, not a science. It would be impossible because opinions vary on what good sex is.

There have been studies that link the consumption of animal meat and byproducts to cause impotence, not to mention higher risks towards heart disease. Other studies have shown that the majority of meat eaters tend to have higher body fat (which is kinda odd when you think about it, since it's probably around 95-98% of the US population) which can decrease energy levels.

I have also heard reports from people giving blowjobs that the ejaculate tastes better if it comes from a vegetarian.

Just a reason to give everyone an opportunity to go out and perform their own studies...purely for scientific purposes. (!)

I'm not a vegetarian, but I still have good sex.

Sometimes it's even great.

For those who wish to suck, on a cucumber, or carrot I wish them good luck.

I am much more meat orientated, knowing that what ever comes naturally, is always worth its rise.

I wonder what a vegetarian gay, does when confronted with a big piece of meat, confronting their sense of self righteous superiority? Do they suck, and run, hoping their fellow puritans never notice. Or, do they merely, handle the meat for the purpose of squeezing its natural juices? :D

:grrr:

What are you trying to say? That a homosexual can't be a true vegetarian or vegan because of names associated with anatomy? There isn't even a point to make in that statement unless you're trying to get in an easy joke.

A meat eater would appreciate the humour. ;)

That's perfectly fine. I was giving an opinion based on facts and you can't combat that with humor. Some would say by that remark shows that (some) omni's are self-righteous, especially the one that made that comment.

I don't have problems with people having opinions different than my own. The difference is that I can handle it when people have those opinions while it seems obvious others can not.

Some of us know a few matters related to dietary fads. And vegetarians have been parading their obsessive teaching lessons, on this board for as long as I have been a member. In other words you and your ideas are not a fresh phenomenon.

My "real world" experience has been that vegetarians are just plain slower than the rest of us. See them all the time at Whole Foods.

You know, moving in 3/4 time.

Maybe that would be better in a sexual setting, but I doubt it....

I'm not here to preach or convert everyone to the ways of vegetarianism. I don't feel the need to do that. People can make up their own minds if they're smart enough to do the research and have access to the material.

I feel healthier since becoming a vegetarian. I have lost weight and lowered my blood pressure. I feel like I have more energy to do the things I like doing. I was simply adding my own thoughts.

Sorry you guys can't seem to handle a difference of opinion.

Some of us finished high school, and even went onto university. So are well able to comprehend the needs of eating healthily. Some of us are also well aware of the need to avoid obsessive behaviour.

Corny has initiated an excellent healthy eating thread on the health forum. I recommend you take a look and perhaps open up your thinking processes to all that eating and living in moderation can create in your life.
