Well, that just reflects the ease of deciding what shouldn't be covered and the relative difficulty of proving that things should be. (mainly because the military would hide how dangerous certain weapons were, and it would take time, and pressure, in order to get them to admit it)
I agree that they should default to being more generous than being too stingy, but at the same time there also needs to be some common sense with spending. Just because its a program for funding veteran's medical care does not mean that it should be beyond scrutiny, and should be beyond questioning.
Forgive me for questioning your compassion. I shouldn't have done that.
But, let me say this for the sake of argument. I will agree with you that ailments are being treated that had nothing to do with the Vets service, Viet Vets. What I'm trying to point out is that is the way the Bill or whatever happened to make the VA treat us is just the way it is. There are many of us out there that have been exposed to Agent Orange. It is probably not known the extent of illnesses caused by AO.
I would hope the VA is treating the Vets from Kuwait for whatever is happening to them. I believe they were exposed to gasses and with all the oil wells burning.
Each conflict has its own ailments. Iraq and Afghanistan with all the brain injuries that are probably not being treated.
Take care of the Vets. Get the money however you can to help them.
