As many said... it takes a lot to be a diva. Not just 1 million hits on YouTube.


There are women in the industry who changed music history, who created art and whose name is more than the current news.

How did Katy Perry, Gaga or Nicki Minaj do anything for music history? They're career is no longer than Rihanna's or Justin Bieber's (he will be a diva by 2020 maybe ).


There are few singers in modern pop who can really be called divas.

she only has one album and has only been out a good 2 yrs

I didn't think it was that bad of a show...it wasn't like it used to be obviously...but for what it was, I thought it was pretty good.

The opening was fun...Katy's performances were good...Sugarland's performances were great (but MC Lyte really didn't add much to "Stuck Like Glue") Paramore and Keri Hilson were good....and Grace Potter was FANTASTIC...I really just love them...saw them back now probably 5 years ago at the Boston Music Awards, back when she was still all Vermont Hippie chic...this is actually video of that performance when I first saw them:

Grace and Heart was fun....and then there was Nicki Minaj....what the fuck was she wearing...if you're performing girl wear something you can actually move in! She could barely walk...every time i see her now I'm liking her less and less.

I said it a long time ago, IMO, as of today this show only has the following to choose from: Aretha (who has a bigger ego?), Ms Ross, Streisand, Madonna, Janet, Mariah, Whitney, Tina, Mary J, Patti, Céline, Beyoncé, Shania, Lauryn Hill, Xtina, Lady Gaga (imo, she's very quickly earned her title as a "Diva"), Leona Lewis (with more stage confidence), Grace Jones (hello!), Amy Winehouse and JHud. I guess i could throw in Foxy Brown, Lil Kim, Missy Elliott ('Da Real World' era version), and perhaps JLO too? Isn't that a fucking orgasmic lineup?

When I say "stage presence", I'm thinking the way Beyoncé commands the stage. IMO, Britney doesn't come close to that. Not even close! LOL But with all the Grammy and Mtv VMA success of Lady Gaga after releasing only one album, the wound of the BritBritStanFan is deep, I know, so, okay, our Britney can be a Diva too! Okay? IMHO, album sales have nothing to do with being a "Diva." That's absolute nonsense. IMO, it's great vocal ability and/or great stage presence that makes someone a Diva. That's just my opinion. However, i'm positive album sales are completely irrelevant. byeeeeee

If there's a vocal track she entertains people. If they make her sing live, she doesn't own shit. She can't even carry anyone's attention without a huge choreo, skimpy outfits and flipping her hair a thousand times while moaning.

Oh and sales got nothing to do with this. In that case, the cast of Glee are ALL divas.

In any case, Britney would make it fun but she isn't really a VH1 diva.

PS: The show jumped the shark last year with Miley. Hannah Montana is a diva? Give me a break. Who's next, Willow Smith?

Here's a little message to all the fuckers on this site that think Britney dosen't deserve the term diva.

Britney has been performing since before y'all have been born. Her debut album alone which features powerful vocals has spawned her 3 top top twenty hits and over 25 million copies worldwide at just 16.

Her second album Oops I did it again gave her two top twenty U.S hits and has sold over 20 million copies worldwide.


I dare any of you mothafuckers to pull that off or even ttry to pull off all the dance routines she does in her music videos.

Her album " Brintey has sold over ten million copies and had 6 incredibly sexy music videos with unforgettable Britney dance routines and outfits which people still copy today.

The tour that supported this album was the second highest grossing tour in the U.S.A that year behind Cher and got rave reviews for Britney's incredible dance abilities and how charismatic and powerful she is on stage.


Her fourth album " In the Zone " was an incredible album and an incredible transition of girl to woman in which Britney pushed the limits and reached the heights with songs like " touch of ny hand " about masturbation and " Breathe on me ".

The album got her her first grammy for Toxic and many other awards and other awards.

Also a tour came with the album in which Britney danceed her heart out until she injured her leg.

After that came two of the most influential pop albums ever " Blackout " and " Circus " plus her sold out tour " the circus tour ".


You say Lady Gaga deserves the title of Diva ? What has she done ? She started her career writing music for Britney and then kicked off copying her, if u don't believe me have you seen the diamonds in the " lovegame " video and idea she stole from " Toxic " and she copies Madonna all the fucking time. And she relies on special effects and crazy rumors to keep her fame going...she's a piece of crap with a great voice I have to admit


Britney spears has sold almost 200 million records, she paved the way for all female pop stars today with her powerful lyrics and her " free to be whatecer you want to be " atitude, she had two kids and still has an amazing figure and good dancing skills, she's been nominated for a VMA 27 times and won 4. She performed with Michael Jackson and kissed Madonna. She danced with a snake and stripped for the world....she survived a mental breakdown and came back bigger than ever...

The word diva isn't worthy for Britney, she deserves the word " legend "
