Why do they keep giving these big-ass losers shows? Come on Vh1 focus on music! ...like pop-up videos.

Well, from what I've heard from a cousin of mine that works in the entertainment industry, music videos doesn't bring in the revenue compared to these reality shows. If you want videos you either have to go to the net or purchase an extended channel package with the alternate MTV or VH1 music channels.

That blows. But I do have the other alternate MTV and VH1 channels. I still don't understand why reality shows bring in more revenue, or at least I wish they didn't.
 
IDGAF, I will never get sick of these Vh1 reality shows.
I'm excited to see that Entertainer of Love just because I know they'll get his parents on it and they are fucking hilarious!

it's also because Music Videos don't register for ratings...I remember Steven from FUSE posted a Myspace bulletin last year addressing all the messages he gets from viewers complaining that FUSE was now showing movies and reality shows and stuff like that...and that was his explanation...that blocks of music videos aren't able to be registered for ratings...which means no ratings no advertising no advertising no money no money no station.

To me, it's weird though that in the 80s and the 90s it wasn't a problem. I think in today's reality world it seems more like an excuse to show this crap. I am pretty sure if they showed shows such as Behind the Music, Before They Were Stars, half hour segments of MTV News, etc. they could get some revenue from advertisement. Even though I wasn't really a fan of TRL, it probably brought in some money from advertisement.

I think sometimes these channels forget their roots and why they started in the first place. I mean, Nick at Nite and TVLand used to be about showing such shows as I Love Lucy, Happy Days, Dick Van Dyke, the Mary Tyler Moore show, and so on and now just show episodes of the same modern episodes such as Fresh Prince, Home Improvement, Cosby, George Lopez, Scrubs, or that reality show about 50 year old women trying to look hot.

Well, my favorite person is bubbles. I'd like to see her get her own show. And the eliminations should all be in a pool or something. ahaha. Lame, I know, but I just love how she's always talking about water in Charm School.

the whole premise of the show is ridiculous. you know damn well that none of those bitches is gonna make any positive changes. besides Bubbles--and maybe Bay Bay Bay, they're all there for the money.

i can see Ricki's reasoning for letting Bubbles go. she has made the most genuine effort to change, but it's fucked up that threw her out without SOME sort of reward. i'd say the same for Bay, but she actually "chose" to leave...or rather she chose to follow the script with that dramatic exit;)

i'm surprised that whack ass Boston hasn't had his own show yet. or "Sister" Pattersen's masculine ass. maybe they could throw her on a new season of The Surreal Life. have the whole house ready to beat that bitch down..|
 
Well they are pulling I Love Money 3 due to the asshole who killed his gf/wife. They also pulled the Megan show, but don't really care about that.
 
After researching some more, I understand now why they did. Apparently Ryan, the murderer, won ILM3 and was talking about his wife a lot on the show. It would be one thing if he was kicked out early, and VH1 could just edit him out. Oh well...
