I just ordered three pairs for my boyfriends and me. They look so cool, and comfortable!

I met someone at the mall who was wearing them, and he said they were his everyday shoes, and also runs and hikes in them. I can't wait to try them out :gogirl:

Does anyone here have them?

Yeah...really...cool...looking---

To me they look horrible.

But then again I am old, so most contemprary fashions look wierd to me.

That's very interesting. Keep us posted.

Has anyone tried Sanuk sandal/shoe hybrids? They're based on the same principle of maintaining the natural use of the feet when walking. Those Vibrams look like they're even better than Sanuks because they fit so snugly.

They don't look like they would protect your tootsies if someone stood on them![-X
How thick is the material?

The socks don't come with them, but aren't required. It's just the first picture I came upon. I plan on wearing them like I wear my sandals, with no socks.

The material is about as thin as it can be, I think the bottom is less than 1mm. The aim is to imitate barefootedness while giving you a little extra protection on the bottom.

I absolutely hate wearing shoes or socks, I only wear them when I have to leave the house. I'm not sure if I would wear them though, I wouldn't mind trying them though.

As someone who hates, shoes, and wearing socks for that matter, those may be comfortable for me...

website to get a pair of them is wear?

I bought mine from http://www.rockcreek.com - I didn't see any listings of local stores that sold them here, so I ordered them online. They're being delivered tomorrow, so I can't wait!

^sounds like a paid endorsement...

Yes, it does, and that makes me all the more excited! If someone loves them that much to preach about how awesome they are, then it must have really changed their life. I hope it will do the same to me ..|

How is the traction on these things. Are they slippery on a smooth floor or on a wet surface?

They came in and fit perfectly! I love them.

I'm an avid fan of toe socks, and wear them frequently so having the feeling of my toes separated is normal to me. My boyfriend doesn't do toe socks and said the fivefingers felt sooooo weird when he put them on. He's starting to like them more as he has worn them around the house tonight.

I can't wait to wear them to school tomorrow :)

These are now my primary shoes for everything. I love them and don't want to ever wear anything else ever again!
