As usual, the youtube conservatives are humping all over the comments section calling this "insensitive" and "tasteless" without even an inkling of the irony of that statement.

Seriously, Glenn Beck is phonier than a three-dollar bill, and the fact that so many people buy into this charlatan's circus side-show act says a lot about their critical judgment, or at least their willingness to be deceived. Largely I suspect most are fans because he reinforces their ridiculous belief system, playing to their baser instincts using the same clownish immaturity they themselves possess--the only kind of behavior they really trust or understand.

No the wreck couldn't have been Beck as he had an appendix removed. I guess there is only one. Too bad he couldn't have died from that as he hates nurses and doctors.

I remember that one.

It was so funny because it was so true. The thing about Beck is funny because you know that there are actually people out there who really think that way! On a second level, it isn't making fun of Beck so much as it is making fun of us all. That's a mark of good satire: for reflective people, it makes one sit back and ask, "Am I one of those people?" It's plain in this thread that people are doing just that, whether they recognize it or not.

Ultimately, while it's funny, the real message of that piece isn't that we all wish that Beck would go away, but something like, Come on, people; we're better than this!

Aren't we?

He was deliberately almost losing the audience's attention until he pulled it back with the hemorrhoids connection at the blackboard -- what an artist!
