Hosanna Gloria!!!

Love the movie, love the show.

But sad to tell - it was performing this piece every night for x years that did for poor Dame Julie's voice. The strain brought on nodules for which she was prescribed surgery. And that was that. No more singing from the lark of Broadway. Apparently she wanted to quit a long time before she did, but her husband (Blake Edwards) made her continue to recoup more of the money he had invested in the show. Their marriage nearly broke down as a result - but I don't think they got divorced.

Julie Andrews: A goddess and a Lady x

It is a GREAT film and I just love Robert Preston!! I just wish PETO's Galleries and Albums were still up because He had all those Wonderful Nude Photo's! And some nudes of Robert Preston TOO!!!;)

PS: Do you guys remember him in "Dark at the Top of the Stairs" ??
..."MUSIC MAN"....He's one of my all time favorites....

One of my all time favorite films. I just saw it again a couple of months ago. The only thing that keeps it from being absolutely flawless is the Clouseau rip-off that's hired to find out about Victor's secret, but he doeesn't really hinder the film that much.

I can see why people love the show as I saw it on DVD (hey, we can't all make it to Broadway). It was very good. But Robert Preston and Lesley Anne Warren are hard to replace.

Poookey............I'm horney. The great scenes between Leslie Ann Warren ( a knockout singing her song about Chicago Illinois) and James Garner were fun. And the bodygaurd's surprise was great.

i don't like musicals, but i do like julie andrews. so yeah i really like this particular film. I like the sound of music, marry poppins, and this one. ;)

I've been really interested in seeing it. Never got around to it though...

Of course I love it!

This film also made me a huge fan of Leslie Ann Warren. I love watching her in "Choose Me".

Great movie. I probably like it more for its comedy than its music. Robert Preston (RIP) was hilarious in it.
