Victorian Kitchen, Unused for 100 Yrs, found buried behind walls

I'm sure that JohannBessler will be envious to know that back at my family home, on the middle floor, on one of our bookcases somewhere, is an old 19th century cookbook.

It's only a small book, and it's cover is gone, and it's very worn, but it's still readable. I'll search it out when I'm back home and post a few recipes if you wish.

P.S.

When I first saw the phrase 'turnspit dog' on this thread I thought, 'They COOKED and ATE dogs in Victorian Britain????" and then when you said they'd died out and no longer existed I thought, 'They once had a species of edible dog????' #-o

I'm late, but how could they not know about this room when photo number two shows a window to the outside on the upper right?

And how the fuck do you inherit such a huge mansion? Of course some rooms will most probably have been left untouched for decades.
