Current Events? Yes, let's not study history because when we do we realize that the Republican Party and Fox News used the horrific event of 9/11/2001 to manipulate the American people for their despicable objectives.

Three years is a decade ?!

I remember watching it LIVE when it first ran, and I know it's much longer than three years ago. I'm thinking maybe about a year after the big event.

[EDIT: there's a mention that it was in 2003. Sounds right.]

The part that really made my skin crawl was when O'Reilly kept interrupting him and telling him what his own father would have thought (cause O'Reilly would know better than his son, right?)

Exactly. O'Reilly had never met the guy's father before. OTOH, he lived with his dad for at least 18 years...I didn't re-watch the video this time. It is actually VERY hard to watch. I already re-watched the video a couple years ago when I saw the movie OUTFOXED. I was expecting O'Reilly to assault-and-batter him, which might have actually gotten him kicked off of Fox. But Fox has no shortage in the pool of demagogues they can draw from to replace any or all of their hosts...

I bet that justapixel and laikaNYC are the same person.

The viewpoints are so similar, that there wouldn't really be any point to one person having two identities, and the language and elocution styles are different (but consistent). If they are "paid operatives," that wouldn't even be close to the strangest thing ever to happen here or on any other major website. It's not necessarily true at all, these viewpoints are NOT uncommon. If this was a rare point of view, Sharron Angle would have no chance at all, for example.

There is still timeliness to some of these old things, though. Some things just need NOT to be forgotten. These clips may be yesterday's news to you and me, chance, but for many of the youngest members in here, a lot of this information is likely to be "new." We still continue to live under the legacy of NineOneOne and "Mission Accomplished" so there's some timeliness. The Obama clip also shows that side of him, but it's an issue which didn't have as much of an effect on many of us - but it's still instructive (and also "new" to some of us).
