I have been briefly on business for work we did on the tourism campaign for the state.

Additionally, and more telling, I have met 12 or so people from Alaska in the lower 48. The ones that fled the state as soon as they could seem pretty well adjusted. The others that are only in the lower 48 to work, so they can move back to Alaska as soon as possible, are nuts IMO. Alaska lovers truly are an odd breed.

By the way, Bristol Palin is planning on having a "camouflage wedding". Only in Alaska would someone think wearing camouflage patterned wedding attire for the wedding party is remotely acceptable. If that isn't the very definition of white trash or redneck, I don't know what is.

She had like 10 candidates running against her for governor from the GOP. That's significant. Because it's $47,000 just to get your name on the ballot. A half a million dollars was raised to get her unseated before this bill.
