It's called, SORA, from OpenAI.
Sora is an AI model that can create video scenes from text instructions.

The intro video from OpenAI has no audio, and the comments have been disabled, so I'm posting commentary from my friend Dave Cullen.
While I do not share all of Dave's misgivings, I realize that I could be completely wrong about this.

Sure are plenty of videos postings proclaiming the end of the world as we know it. We'll soon find out.

I've been on a rant lately about writers who can't write, singers who can't sing, and actors who can't act.

Are we all faced with a future of humans without brains at all?

. . . Future?

The question is how long have they been among us.

My guess is forever!

There are YouTubers who can't construct a sentence, but there are others who can capture an audience with their mellow tones and velvety cadance.
Technology may offer assistance to the untalented but can it also make talent irrelevant?

Just curious.:)

How long do I have to wait for SORA to be able to produce indisputable video evidence that will allow me to frame someone else for a murder I'd like to commit? Or, at least a convincing YouTube video that will sway public opinion enough for me to find comfort in knowing that angry mobs are rioting for my release?

Suppose everything is possible for the right price - I'd like to see a cost sheet cuz money will be the driver behind all this.

I wouldn't worry about it yet. Consider the video in the OP; it's all landscapes. Very little movement, but the frame is in constant motion to trick you into thinking there is. It's the same kind of visual you see in doctor's offices, on your screensaver, on the background of 50% of products in the store. Boring and ubiquitous. In other words, it's nothing. If you look closely at those people walking down a sidewalk, it sort of looks like their feet aren't even touching the ground. It's glorified CGI, and CGI can't reproduce the uneven fluidity inherent in the movement of living things. Like a set piece in a Marvel movie, things look unreal, unattached, and out of sync with the rest of the images. Besides, I'm sure there will be some kind of technical forensic science that will be able to determine if an image is real or not.

Talent is already irrelevant. Thanks to youtube and tik tok, anyone can put themselves out there for the world to see, regardless of whether they have anything to offer. The amount of music, for example, released in a single day is staggering compared to thirty years ago, and the sheer volume of it renders the real talent almost too elusive to seek out.

Besides, the term AI art is an oxymoron. Only sentient beings can create art, inspired by emotion, experience, anger, love and pain. Not keyboard commands.

Let's try this . . . are you planning to go to sleep tonight?

The tech-world never sleeps while too many ideas flow, sometimes ideas formed accidently!

If you're up to it, try this ColdFusion exploration of OpenAI's SORA:

How about an Infinite Improv machine? You enter a single line of text then watch the result.
But then you "refresh" with the same text and see if the result is completely different.

Then "refresh", and "refresh", ad nauseam.

The great tragedy is that the masses idolise this vapid, vacuous drek. Aspiration to true greatness seems to have entirely evaporated.
