I had heard about "Tijuana Bibles" for years but at one point I was working in a used book store that actually carried some of them.
I was amazed that there were considered so scandalous and were "dirty" enough that guys would be jacking off over them! They were cartoons - and often of cartoon characters having sex.
When I made a comment an older guy piped it "you have to remember - back then we had seen NOTHING - no Playboy - no nudist magazines - nothing. So just the idea and it did not matter that it was Popeye and Olive Oyl..."
It still seems hard to believe that these were so shocking - but it also seems hard to believe that those early Playboys were thought of as "pornography", now you see underwear ads that show more.
All that being said - I hope the sailor in the picture enjoyed his wank!
