Vintage Wines

Taking part in a spring auction with this bottle (2 left from a case of 12)
together with one 93 and one 95
should fetch 1000 US$

I'm on an alcohol vacation at the moment until I regain 100kg. Our go-to everyday wine is Quail's Gate Pinot Noir.

I'm also very happy with Stone Boat Pinotage though my favourite pinotage has to be Owl Post from Neethlingshof in .za.

I also enjoy Bretz Spätburgunder.

And I very much enjoyed a 2012 Château de Montfaucon "Vin de Monsieur Le Baron de Montfaucon" Vin de Pays du Gard but I wasn't able to get more of it in.

Dunno I'm kind of all over the map and I've never done a proper fancy tasting course or anything. That might make it onto the christmas list for my guy and I.

Well, some auctions go well some not... came out by 635 US$ which is not all too bad compared with the prices I bought them for.

Quelle Tragedie....

Our conservative Premier wants to destroy the LCBO and put wine and liquor in every corner store and sell off the outlets to his billionaire cronies.

So at the moment, the workers are on strike and he looks like he will go to the mat on this.

With only scattered rural in-store outlets, the people are running out of wine and liquor and even the small outlets are running out of stock.

On the other side of the coin, I and others are having to try other brands and varieties than our favourites.

hahahaha

Found one of these in my cellar today.

2 "cellar rattles" going to an autumn auction
I wonder what I will get...
