Yeah well I woulnd't say you were molested or assaulted but it was definitely inappropriate of him. I've had near experiences like that which I quickly stopped by moving away. Let's face it, young good looking guy is going to get a lot of shit from some creeps. I guess the lesson you learned from this is to be always vigiliant when someone is dealing with you, especially a man. Next time punch them in the face let them know its unacceptable

So I have this really nice Italian tailor that I take all of my jeans/dress pants to. He does a great job with everything so I have been a costumer of his for a while now. Today I took in a pair of jeans to get the waist widened (I am becoming a fatty lol). He tells me to unzip the front, and I do. I am feeling a little uncomfortable at this moment. He then starts feeling around the waistband to see the size. I am starting to feel even more uncomfortable. Then he puts his finger under the waistband of my boxer briefs and pulls them open to get a nice big look. He sat there staring at my crotch for like 5 seconds.

I didn’t know what to do, so I just pretended like nothing happened. I am not at all attracted to my tailor. He is a little overweight, 30 years my senior and his face is not very attractive. I felt so violated.

Thanks for reading this, I just needed to vent and see what others have to say about this. Maybe I am just overreacting about this.

I doesn't sound to me like very much happened. Running fingers along the waist band is normal for a tailor, as is seeing how they fit when they are unbuttoned. That's how they tell how much to take in or let out.

The starring thing, I don't know. Perhaps that was odd.

If he really wanted to get raunchy with you, there would have been countless other ways a tailor could do it. Insisting on re-measuring your in-seam (just to make sure they're the proper length, of course) would be but one way.

You say you've gone to him for some time now. Why would he decide to do creepy and inappropriate things now?

Getting a tux this last year, I was tried it on at the store and couldn't get the tie on correctly because it was all twisted and I didn't want to end up tearing it. So I asked the store owner who is supposedly gay even though he is married for help. He helped put it on but while doing so I noticed he was awfully close to me and managed to rub against me and even put a finger around my waistband "to make sure it fit" and he even grazed my butt. I tried not to think about it... but it still crossed my mind.

Looking down your pants is a little too far though in my opinion anyway.

Americans are so puritanical about any form of touch sometimes, I find it absolutely bizarre. My tailor is a Vietnamese woman about 50 years old and all of 5'1" tall, and maybe 100 lbs. I go commando 1/2 the time, so when I change pants she sees me in my full glory. No big deal. My massage therapist sees me naked, I live in a flat/warehouse with huge windows and no drapes, as well as a host of other people I come in contact with. I dunno. If they wanna stare meh, go ahead.

There is such a difference between your incidents and mine. I have no problem being naked in front of people. I change/shower at the gym all the time, no big deal. However, there I chose to be naked. My tailor stuck his hands in my boxers and stole a peak for himself. I didn’t give him permission. Not even strippers let you do that (the no touch policy).

I dunno, it's obviously ok if you decide to dump this tailor and find someone else. I guess I'm just saying instead of looking at this incident that you were "violated", that he was simply enamored with your body and "snuck a peek". Take it as a compliment. Is it really any different than a guy grabbing your ass at the gay bar? Or "sneaking a peek" at the urinals?

I'm pretty sure he was just checking the fit. Think about it... it's important to know whether you "hang to the left" or to the right to get a really good fit. Someone I know had the tailor ask... this guy is just being a bit more direct.

I wouldn't have appreciated it either, but I don't think he was being a creep.

that reminded me of what happened to me before.

i was drunk and caught a taxi home. while i was in the cab, the driver probably noticed that i was drunk. later on, he mentioned my hand how it was so smooth, then he touched and felt my hand. i was too drunk to tell him off so i kinda let him. when i got off the cab, he actually charged me around $5 extra i think coz he figured out i was too drunk to know how much the real price is. lol!

he was kinda old and not my type i felt molested the next day.
